Hey everyone,

In order to make this forum useful and informative, i'm going to impose a rule for this forum... Basically a simple form for the bits and pieces most people will want to fill out. Merely copy/paste it, and fill out the pieces that matter, then procede with any other discussion points.

If you have any suggestions for sites to advertise on (other than your own!), feel free to list them out, but include any important data like cost etc., not just a URL.

Here is the form:

----------- START -----------

SITE: ( Where the advertisement appeared )
COST: ( What did you pay for the ad campaign? Was it CPM, CPC, or CPD? )
DURATION: ( How long did your ad run? Was it staggered between other ads? )
RESULTS: ( How did it affect your numbers? Did you see a big difference in your pageviews ? )
OTHER NOTES: ( Anything you want to talk about )

This is a good idea.

But I have nothing to contribute.
Please, please, you give me too little credit.

That's okay. Hopefully through having this tool we can all share in knowledge and help lift eachother up.

It should bring more people to drunkduck, increase its popularity. It's a great site, but in reality there isn't that many members. Alot of comics here deserve more popularity than they get, so this should help if they check here. Not everyone knows of any good places to advertise, so this could help those who need ways of gaining more readers.

One more thing, would people need to make threads to inform people of one site, or perhaps several sites, or will it all be in one thread?
Please, please, you give me too little credit.

I think they have a space where you pay about $20 to get your comic advertised.

NOW UPDATING!!!

For like $6.00 your ad will appear on the front page for a week! They have different plans! The $6.00 plan is one of them and if your willing to spend more... your ad will be on the front page for alot longer! You will be surprised how much traffic you'll recieve!

What's the traffic they claim? What's the results you see from an ad? Please try to be more informative when posting.

I'm going to lock this thread too, these should be their own threads.

Wow, old redundant locked thread... Hahaha!
Keep it around for historical reasons.

Funny how the idea of this whole subforum was focussed on one single, specific form of internet advertising. Even for 4 years ago that was pretty short-sighted... I suppose it reflected the inexperience with the subject. Thankfully the forum has branched out a lot and people have been very creative! :)
