When I go on DD, I keep getting redirected every so often to other sites, often bogus attack sites (like fake virus scans and such).
I thought at first it was my computer being screwed up and full of viruses, but it only ever does it on DD and a friend of mine has noticed the same thing (again, only on DD.) Seems a bit worrying!

Guess attack vector ads got on DD again.

So this has happened before?
In a way its a relief, I thought my computer AND my anti virus software was failing!

What happens is that people take advantage of the stupid advertising program DD uses:
People buy legitimate ads with legit links and everything, and then alter them afterward, adding those redirects.

I've suggested a million fixes, but no dice. Basically it's a an easily exploitable advertising program that they should dump ASAP and start using a better one that doesn't allow javascript and doesn't allow unapproved changes.

At the moment that ad system is far too exploitable. We may as well just allow hardcore porn ads if we're going to continue with something like this, at least you'd know what you were in for.

It's basic stuff with an easy fix and yet it hasn't been. -_-

This only happened once to me. And it was that weekend where apparantly all the users and comics disappeared. Gave me quite a scare it did.

These bugs are gonna catch up to us-WAIT! They are. :(
