So you might not have heard of this company, considering it's frequently overshadowed by Marvel, DC, and sometimes Dark Horse, but Image is one of the most innovative comics publishers in the US today. They publish completely creator-owned projects by people who don't want to do the same old tired out Marvel or DC superhero stuff. It's like what the Japanese do with manga, only usually in color. Anyway I think they're probably the best publisher out there today, followed closely by Dark Horse and then Vertigo, so I urge you to check out their comics. They've made every first issue available online for free, so if you see something you like you can order it from a comic shop or off of Amazon.com.

Personally I recommend Invincible, The Nightly News, and The Walking Dead, but there are many other great series.

Oh wow. And here I'd thought Image had closed down some time ago. Yeah, Invincibles a pretty cool comic.

I like a lot of Images properties, but sometimes they fail pretty hard. The best stuff they have is Invincible and Walking Dead. Both are epic.

If you want really great comics, you should read penis. Or even a fine platinum studios comic.

Yeah, a couple of Image comics I really don't like, but the bad ones usually disappear pretty quickly.

Anyway I just discovered Phonogram, which is really crazy and cool. Kind of reminds me of an f-ed up Ghost World.
