Radiohead just suddenly announced that they are releasing a new album next week; October 10th...that is for download (and um...something else...discbox). The actual album will be released early 2008. They are letting you pay 'whatever you want' and have no official record label, releasing the album themselves. (Apparently from what I heard this pissed off a lot of the record companies too. XD)
I personally think this is very cool of them....plus new album!! Radiohead my favvy. Me want new album long time. X_x I needs my trippy music fix.
And anyway I just thought the whole situation with them was interesting. What do you think of this move they made?

Radiohead themselves will probably make more like this than going through a label and taking whatever they're given. It's a new world for music these days, people aren't willing to pay outrageous prices for CDs when they can just download them for free. Whatever money is made should go to directly to the artist, without the sleazy producers getting their hands all over it.

That's pretty unique -- though I stopped caring for Radiohead the day I graduated from high school.

I'm not at all into Radiohead, but damn, this is seriously one of the coolest ideas ever. I've got to give them credit here, for sure.

I had totally forgotten about Radiohead.. but my friend burnt me a copy of the new album and it is SO DAMN GOOD. I'd suggest giving it a shot.
