What's your preference? Coloured pencils? Digital colouring? Markers? Pastels? Ummmmm....Crayola crayons?
You need to define your medium of appeal and interest. What makes it more comfortable to you when it comes to colouring? Do you have a computer with appropriate software for colouring in that fashion?

Hello! I'm trying to write a hand drawn comic, but I'm uncertain as to what medium looks the best. I've been penciling then coloring , but it takes a long time, and I don't have a decent "art" program (using paint.NET, which isn't that good for hand-drawn material...). Lately I've been experimenting with gel pen comics. It's much easier to get done, but the colors I can use are severely limited, and it doesn't look quite as clean. Plus, the scanner eats the color and white don't look as bright. I suppose I could simply do shaded pencil comics ...I know not having color isn't a bad thing, and this is also much easier to do...
I supose I should also note I'm amazing at custom sprite comics [img172.imageshack.us], but I'm already in process of doing one of those, and it's much to difficult to do two at once.
Can someone help me decide which to pick?

I found that tutorial kinda hard Sub, since the artist uses the pen tool and the channels layer (which I rarely dabble with) But I guess after a while one gets used to it.

Hay any tips for someone who is thinking about starting their own web comic? What is the hardest part about it? Also just a sigestion for the peson having trouble know what coloring to use, you might try mixing pen and pencel. You get some neet efects with that.
I live in my own little world, but its okay they know me there

Hardest part is getting your work at a level where people want to read it. Best advice I could give is do lots of short stories. Lots of people do long sagas which aren't that interesting. Do short stuff and you can keep on trying new things out and rubbish stuff is quickly left behind. Short stuff is easier for new readers to get into. SHORT COMICS ARE GOOD

I've been working on writing a script for a fantasy comic. It's coming out a lot shorter than most webcomics I've read (in terms of pages per chapter). I think its happening either because my writing style is naturallly condensed or because I stink at writing realalistic diolouge. Is this a problem?
