well you ever think about killing a comic ? that what i'm thinking about doing . just wipe it off the board and start again.. when i started Life with dragons.. i had an idea.. a dumb one but i liked it at the time.. i knew nothing.. about how to put a comic togather.. how to do lay out ... ect.. when i found something did not work i stoped doing that and tried something new.. the resulte is sort of a mess.. more of a map of my progress as a artist then anything ( i still suck).. people changed evolved.. my early plot was flawed i know that.. what i ment to be 30 pages turned in to a 100 my timing drages...the first 100 maybe the first 170 pages are trash... just trying to figure out what is the best way to put it in the trash.. and start a new...

maybe not.. no idea..
i just need to know how best to slash this..and rework.. and reviweing is part of that.. i've already been told it was the worst web comic to grace the web.. something i had already suspected.. so how best to kill cut and rework it.. is what i need.. sort of a ruff review/ edit. but if review aimed at change is in another forum by all means move this to where it goes..

I say you should request to move this thread to the arts and literature corner.

Also, don't wipe the comic. It just shows that you gave up and didn't try. My advice to you is to:

1. Draw the letters instead of typing them on the comic (since it doesn't look clean) and ink the characters so that they aren't pencil drawn (only 1 comic I know of pulled off the pencil look). It makes the comic a little messy.

But that's just my opinion.

I say keep it there but start on something new. It would be kind of sad to destroy something you put effort into

If you feel you're trapped in a rut and you can do something else/better, go and do it. You're not being paid, so 1st and foremost your comic must please yourself.

FIGHT current chapter: Filling In The Gaps
FIGHT_2 current chapter: Light Years of Gold

In April I re-started penis with a less crappy art style, bigger boxes, and the same great feeling that the comics leave people with after they've read it.

Nah I'm not gonna kill Brood Knight. Its just like a parked car. I just happened to like starting something new... since Brood Knight was written by me as an 18 year old or younger.

I got two years into Dasien, scrapped it, and started over. The problem was that I had neglected a lot of story elements, didn't draw things as well as I would have liked, and didn't like the coloring.

Now it's a lot better, although there are still things I'm not happy with. Not enough to completely restart it.

I'm actually in the process of redoing it a second time, although it's not going to be quite the overhaul it was the first time, but I am going to destupidify the story a bit. I think I can get away with sprucing it up a bit, but the art is just good enough that I don't think it's worth giving it the axe a second time.

destupidify the story is sort of my aim.. its not that i want to give up on it. its just looking at it as a whole i see that its flawed.. parts of it look like they are ruff drafts. my characters had not yet been fully formed.. a flaw that only time could work out.

I'm going to cutting a few part.. as fluff and or stupid and point less.. not sure how to do text? typing it in seems more readable them my hand writing does.. any ideas?

Since 1996 I have restarted this comic 5 times in attempts to make the story more cohesive.

I never threw away my old attempts, and if I ever did stop making the comic now I highly doubt I would delete it.

I type my text, but hand write stuff that needs more umph. Don't keep it all typed out.

Read "The Devon Legacy".
