I’ve just played this new-fangled version of PoP, it pissed me off and I have compiled a handy list of the top 10 reasons as to why.
1) the Prince is not the Prince, he’s just some guy who stole the Prince’s moves.
2) they’re not in Persia…
so that’s already blown the title out of the water. How can you call something Prince of Persia if there’s no prince and no Persia 0.0
3) Everything you do in the game is a waste of time as seen by the ending.
4) the ending isn’t a REAL ending. No! You have to BUY that one o_0
5) I want both of the character to DIIIEEEE!!! Fffffffqing die! Dmmit!!
6) It’s not THAT pretty.
7) It’s short.
8) It’s so frikkin’ easy - what’s up with so many new games being so easy?
9) The level design seemed so slipshod. At least in the last PoP trilogy the stuff you climbed sort of made sense but in this one they just randomly placed wall runs, poles, slides…
10) what was with those magic pads?
*Goes off into a corner to fume* I don’t like this generation >:C

You know, I thought this was going to be a post praising this game, so I was ready to call you an idiot--like a cowboy with hands by his six shooters, itchin' for the draw.
But you hated it.
And so I can do nothing but nod approvingly.

The only thing they got right was the Prince's voice - who also plays Nathan Drake in the much popular PS3 series, Uncharted.

I want to make a confession.
I've never played a Prince of Persia game, ever.
Not even the first one.
I don't know why. It's just one of those games that passed completely by me without noticing it. I haven't even seen someone play it nor watched a game trailer.

What? NO!! Baaaad! His smug-ass voice is part of the reason I wish the game gave you an option to decorate it with his guts. Hmm... If I ruled the world I'd make it so EVERY game gave you an option like it lol!
Polkster, my faith in the human race is restored. I solemnly thank you for that -__-

Drake's voice is great... when he plays Drake.
When it's another action adventure game with platform elements... and it's not Uncharted... I'm left to wonder WHY IT'S DRAKE'S VOICE.

I never played it either. Watched my brother play it. The combat with the bosses looked pretty frustrating.

Yeah, it doesn't suit him. I see his character design, I hear Drake's voice. It doesn't match!
However I have to say Ubisoft are finally getting the right idea by giving the Ezio guy a sexy accent. How many main characters in video games have sexy accents? Not nearly enough :(

Oh, I'm sorry Polkster. I wasn't aware of the policy where I'm forbidden to mention that I hadn't played the game.
What? I can't check the threads about a game I haven't tried yet?
I'd say... go out and play at least Sands of Time. It probably won't blow anyone back anymore but it's worth a shot.

I'm sure it's a cool game and I'll probably play it if I ever get the chance, but like I said, it's one of those weird ones that went passed me.
You yourself have probably this one movie that everyone has seen or a game that everyone has played that you just never got the chance to experience.

I've never played any of the other Prince of Persias but I enjoyed it. It wasn't one of my favorite games ever, but I like exploration games in interesting-looking settings more than I'm looking for any particular challenge or difficulty (I don't even like fighting enemies all that much). I wasn't keen on the boss fights because they could get frustrating, but I liked wandering around trying to find the light globe things. The ending did piss me off though.
I've never even heard of Uncharted, so the guy's voice didn't sound in the wrong place to me. :]

Yeah, all the shooty ones. Can't stand FPS games, more the shame that most of the games released are shooters >.< Like I said though, it's still worth a shot and I like the time re-wind mechanic.

I guess what annoyed me the most was that the last few PoP games were so good that this one felt like a step backwards. If you've never played the other ones I guess you have nothing to compare it to.

If you have nothing to contribute to the discussion other than "don't know anything about it"... why bother?
Possibly for the chance to learn more about said game?
But then again, that's what Wikipedia is for.
I might try it out, I used to own Sands of Time, but never really got into it.

The only problem I had with PoP was the lack of difficulty, the glitchyness (on both consoles), and the ENDING.
And it did look good. More games should experiment with art styles. We need another Okami type.

Praise be to skoolmunkee!
Somehow I found it to be bland and the only time I found it to look good was in a few of the corrupted areas where it was night time and there were these pretty buildings. That and the shiny places where Elika learned new "abilities". At the very least the looks weren't worth the sacrifice of fun :C
A new Okami type (that doesn't rip off Okami) would be good!

Same here...well, until I got the recent one for my birthday. It's fun, but it's not the most amazing thing ever. Then my sister got me the other three games. I'd love to play them, but apparently, the version of the PS3 I have isn't backwards compatible with PS2 games. Thank goodness I haven't sold my PS2 yet.

I've only played Sands of Time and was incredibly frustrated by it. ...Then I was frustrated even more by the crap-ass ending. So I tend to avoid PoP games nowadays.

Dude, I was plenty disappointed in the newest game's ending. And my little brother was playing that one and couldn't get past a certain point (he kept falling to his death)
And say thanks to your husband for me!

Thanks. And I did indeed make it myself. I have it on my dA page---->http://dasmiere.deviantart.com/art/Pussy-Prime-122415666
