Watched it last night and had a blast, 2 hours of awesome.
Not a perfect film but the second best predator film for certain.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, particularly since they're not just fighting hissing Aliens for once. I mean, the Aliens are okay, but they're basically space ants with no personality or depth. They don't exude raw bad ass like a Predator can.

it seems to have gotten some mixed reviews from the media but I thoroughly recommend it, one of my favourite films of the year.

It may be the second-best Predator movie ever made, but that's a pretty low hurdle to jump over.
By my standing, every Predator sequel thus far has been total garbage. Maybe this new one is entertaining, but I'll wait for video.

Excellent! I don't see how, because part of Predator 1's charm was that the human cast were by and large absolute badasses that we'd never expect to see in a role reversal... but hey I'll believe you.
To elaborate... you take Ahnold, Apollo, Jesse the Body, and Billy Bear, and damn you just got yourself the testosterone of 300 without the gay (sorry no other way to put it). Now imagine they all take the role of cheerleaders in Friday The 13th. What a refreshing spin it was.
Now I want that on-set group photo of the team as a wall poster...
