All of us have drawn superheroes from the comics we grew up reading or watching on the TV in our favorite Saturday Morning Cartoon. I used to do it all the time when I was in class and bored out of my skull. I was thinking about that today while I was in training bored out of my skull and its been a while since I did such a thing. So I drew Wolverine.

So why not post your pics of superheroes you have drawn.
This is not a thread to advertise your character but to share drawings of homages the to classics.

That looks awesome, Midge!

This(with a generic icy-looking background) was our family Christmas card last year. :)

Thor, my favourite superhero.

I used to draw superheroes all the time, but I just found those pictures and remembered how awful I was at drawing back then.

Still draw superheroes I feel it's the best way to express power and agressiveness.

Not exactly new, but completed within the past few months:

How about a villain?

And two greats that really should get together.

This is the only remotely superheroic thing I drew in the last few years. Basically, it's a reimagining of Black Terror as an... outerspace kind of... thing. :D

I only read Phantom growing up... because it was in the newspaper. :)

But when I was in art school I had a fried who was madly into comics. He showed me some of the art and so I did an aquatint etching and made some prints of my fave panel.

I think it was called "wet-works" or something? All the "heroes" in it had gold skin and they were part of a commando team... And they were trying to kill this green guy with big muscles, long hair and vamp teeth.

Anyway, here are two of the prints, one in sepia and one in bright pink acrylic ink :)

That's the green guy about to kill one of the team, I think.

Wow. I really like your work!
The only problem I see is that your inks are a little flat. You may want to look up line widths and stuff.

Wow. I really like the one in sepia ink. Great work man. You're one heck of an artist!

I also love Midge's version of Wolverine. It could just be me, but it looks like you drew him as an actual Wolverine. Your inks are amazing, dude.

funny you say that because I did look a pics of the animal when I did it.

@ Ozone, I like the sepia one as well and I remember Wetworks.
I think it was Silvestri's Image vehicle. Were those that acid bath etchings?

as to DOPEBOYFRESH's pics those are amazing. Keep up the work you got started. Those pencils, right? crazy muscles there and difinitely some emerging style coming along.

Repoman, your rock as well!
classic feel there and wonderful inking!

Yeah midge, you rock with Wolverine. Love that pic :)
---------------

Thanks Ryu and Midge.
The etching process does involve acid. -You paint on a "ground" that protects part of the plate, dump it in the acid and let it do its work. You then paint over the bits that will have the lighter shading and bathe it again. You keep on repeating that until the darkest bits are left.

I can't claim credit for the the characters and the way they're depicted really because to make that print I drew it from a copy of what was in that comic.

That makes me think... Is there a hero called "cock-bulge", or "groin-mound"? if not, there should be :)

Good pics though! :)

There was a villain called the Codpiece once.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

I've been drawing Batman ever since I was able to hold a pen, and I'll try to find some really old drawings... until then, some rather new ones:

Power Girl

And here's my first ever ink drawing... Ash by Quesada/Palmiotti, back when Event Comics still existed. One of my all-time favorite superheroes. I still hope there'll be new comics someday...

A stylized Batman:

Mr Freeze:

And a quick Batman sketch:

cool batman and power girl stuff abt...where's all this stuff on your devianart!? you're holding out on us man!

I draw a superhero comic...so I'm kinda used to them. Here's some stuff anyway.

Brush practice on a wolverine drawing...I'm pretty new with the brush. Is it obvious? D :

more wolverine, plus madman and it-girl from madman and the atomics respectively, both mike allred's.

and a spider-man. I don't feel like cropping the other drawings out...so nyah.

additional spider-man

Go read my superhero comic...because I told you to
