What are your comic plot holes fans pointed out or you later discovered?

Do you intend to fill them later in the comic?

One that the real life Garret Jax pointed out was Garret says Revenge doesn't sit well with him, but actually that gets explained later on what he truly meant by that line. That's the most plotholey on my end.

All my plot holes are intentional.

Just like spelling and grammatical errors, they only make penis better.

My unofficial script editor for FIGHT_2 raised several historical inconsistencies regarding Chase, the medieval girl with big sword.

1. She did not object to being described as "from the time of the Roman Empires," even though by her time it has withdrawn from her area of origin.

Me = Because Roman Empires had lasted for so long, I used it as a reference in order to be purposely vague. Also, rulership of her time/place liked to quote Rome.

2. She speaks Middle English, when she should not speak English at all. Or at least she should speak Early English.

Me = She has to speak something ppl can read. Middle English Lite, aka Shakespearean English, gives that atmosphere of antiquity while still being legible. I didn't fudge when it came to writing, though (page 1).

3. Random characters seem to jump out of nowhere.

Me = Somehow you missed the premise of my comic...

BK
The plotholes are obvious if you read that thing from start to end in 1 sitting.

At first, Claudita was like... "Ooh... I'm a billion years old angel... blablabla..." But later on, she started acting more "human".

That plothole was kinda "filled"... by putting something that says she gets weaker and weaker the longer she stays in human form.

---

BK and BK

- That mumbo jumbo about the Ministry was never clear and I got even asked by readers of it. I gave inconsistent shit for answers. lol!

- The part about Amaya (the female Brood Knight in ) was totally unclear... and as if she just vanished after the whole storyline about her

---

MAG-ISA

- Hopefully I scrutinized the script enough so that plotholes arent obvious. :)

I don't really have too many. Since I'm writing far ahead of my posted pages, I can edit dialogue that doesn't quite "work" with stuff I've written more recently.

Most of the apparent plot holes involve Kaida's recollections ("I met a man who told me to forget my family and run away with him..." ) not meshing with the actual real past/flashbacks. But that isn't really a hole at all. She suffers from a sort of spotty memory loss and filled in the memory gaps with what she assumes must have happened.

Another (non)hole is that Seiko should have by now figured out who killed her parents. Sometimes she hints that she knows or suspects but will turn around and act completely in the dark at other times. Again, not really a hole. Her trust of people in general conflicts with her intellect. By all logic things are one way, but she can't accept it.

As for things people have actually brought up... Those aren't really holes. They are mysteries waiting to be revealed later. My comic is a bunch of little mysteries/secrets all tied up with a few really BIG mysteries and secrets, and the various overarching storylines weave in and out a lot. (We might touch on something important, and then it doesn't come up again for many chapters -- the identity of Jerry's killer, the reason Mike pulled a gun on Kaida, etc.) So, I have to tell my readers to be patient. It's just the way I write. (My friends say I'm a tease. :-P )

Characters with big gaping story plotholes:
Rendal. Maila. Raff.

It is uncertain whether Jack is English or American. I'm not even entirely sure anymore. XD

Why isn't Jack much more insane when he put up with many years of brutal torture?

Not much explanation of vampirism itself.

Orlock is not a plothole, I just refuse to reveal his origin until later. =3

And the biggest plothole of all:
How/why the hell did the vampires suddenly and successfully start taking over the world?

I'm sure there are more.

I haven't so much had plot holes as I've had bad characterization at various points in the series. Now, what the characters do still makes sense, more or less, but is just out of character enough to bother me, and sometimes ends up being contradictory the direction I've been taking them for the sake of a gag.

Other than that, if there are any plotholes I'm wholly unaware of them, which I guess makes sense or else I probably wouldn't have done them in the first place.

Oh yeah I remember the big gaping global plothole I pointed out when I first started reading Vampire Phantasm, back when SarahN was just starting out.

I said:
"If vampires have taken over the entire world and function as the ruling body, why are humans still living in the same lifestyle as us? Why are they living in houses and carrying on with lives? Shouldn't they all be corraled into big "human farms" to function as slaves and food for the vampires?"

I dunno if SarahN has retconned this black hole by now.

- The Narrator in this flashback (The character of Mr. Jacobs) mentions Lester Bangs, who anyone familiar with music will tell you was a famous writer for the Rolling Stones and CREEM magazine. The plot hole? Lester Bangs was fired from Rolling Stone in 1973 over a review of Canned Heat, thus making what Mr. Jacobs said impossible.

More of a paradox... but still a plot hole.

As well as being a showcase or variety show type of thing, penis is a parody of web comics. Often I try and make it the worst, best thing I can. Its a difficult balance that lets me do stories that go places or just suddenly end. I can have a character appear one time and never show up again. I can do anything in penis.

Oh....I think I remember that comment now, for the first version. Where at the beginning of the story, Jill as a human looked to have had a farely (no ridicuously) comfortable life as a human in her big house with her parents....despite vampires being all over the place. And yes, I believe I fixed that glitch.^^;

Oh my god, Jill used to have purple hair....what was I thinking...

You were thinking "Purple hair is hot."

And that could still happen. Depends on the world and I ain't read VP, so I can't say what SarahN was going for but just because vamps rule don't mean humans drool. Especially if being vampiric was still a minority and rare thing, just the ruling class were vampires. Some humans were born into farms to be harvested, but the human population at large was so grande that in day to day life no one would be attacked because there'd be no need. The few thousand vamps are like kings, maybe even the ruling class guards and elite soldiers.

The helicopters at the start of my comic... They invalidate a WHOOOOOOoooooole lot of stuff for a lot of reasons.

I'll replace them with other art eventually.

Did you retcon everything with something really great or just ignore it all?

I'm worried that since Werewolf is a spin off of penis, its going to fall into the same traps that penis falls into. I often have stuff like vampires talking about how much they enjoyed pizza, even though garlic would kill them. Cats and Dogs being friendly with each other. Up going down. That sort of stuff. I consider everything in penis canon, until its retconned away. If I get to a point where I need to retcon things in werewolf, I'll feel sad. :(

WHAT? You didn't do that, did you? Jebus Matt... That has to be one of the classic errors out there man! how could you fall into that?

I don't understand it. You're such a consummate professional... Your attention to detail is legendary, and yet...? Man. -_-

Um... I haven't found a plot hole in Wolf yet. And nobody else has, apparently.

But it is a cloak-and-dagger, mystery/conspiracy theory comic so I guess people just wait to see if I answer the questions. ;)

I wish I did, but I just out right ignored it. The third volume picks up where the first left off, with the first section running at the same time as the last few chapters of the first volume. I don't think I could have wrote a retcon awesome enough to justify it.
