NEWW = New England Webcomics Weekend.

I was curious what the possibility of DD having a table or set up there next year, in theory Platinum would pay for a booth or whatever and they could exhibit like a single issue comic with each page being a different comic (printed with authors permission of course)and a url back to the source. Platinum has some money (right?) so this book could be given out for free.

And of course DD creators could show up.

Would something along these lines be interesting/doable? I'm asking really early because if something like this is even possible then we would have to get our stuff together before we try to say bring the idea to Platinum.

Platinum really does not have any money. Some financial report from last year put them several million in the hole. The best time to ask them for something like this would be after they option a property to a movie company or something, when they blow through all the money in a month and sit around being poor another year.

I'm sure they've said before though that DDers are welcome to put their own DD things together at cons, etc- there's nothing major stopping a group of people getting a bit organized and doing the same thing themselves. :]

Would a free DD comic (showcasing various artists) still be something we would do?

I wish they'd set a date in stone already, so I can secure a spot and reserve all the travel stuff.

Is there actually going to be a 2010 NEWW? I Googled it and found lots about last year's, but nadda about 2010. Does anyone even know?!? If so, hey PQ me, eh?
