Poor old Comic Sans. Is there anyone that likes ye? Today's Robot Friday comic plays a little bit on the love/hate that many designers seem to have with that font. What is your take? You like or dislike Comic Sans? Why?

Personally I am sort of indifferent, I feel all fonts have a proper place and usage. It is just the people that can't distinguish those usages that destroy the font.

One of the huge problems with Comic Sans is that every 10-15 year old that's just starting to get into anything involving web-development/comics/anything needing text on a page wants to cover the whole thing with either Comic Sans, Arial, or Times New Roman. It always seems like the most painful have Comic Sans.

Just seeing Comic Sans in anything makes it drop in my eyes. It's unreasoning, I know. It's like trying to enjoy food while sitting next to somebody with incredible body odor. It's a little too distracting to enjoy your food, because you just want to smack him upside the head with your plate and stuff him in a shower, tied-up with the hot water turned up all the way.
