Yo, I've been workin on an airsoft comic called Plastic Bullets, well take airsoft and amp it up a few notches, throw in a large amount of prize money, and teams loaded with some of your favorite characters going at it for half a billion dollars on the line, then you have Plastic Bullets.

The name has a double meaning. First of all, Plastic is normally not something we assume to be lethal, and bullets the part of the gun that actually kills people. That and its initials PB is the periodical table's abreviation for Lead. Which is what bullets are made of. I didn't actually do that last part intentionally, my assistant on the comic told me that.

Anyway, I decided to opent his topic to discuss the comic, and well I guess free advertisement, then again who doesn't do that? Also it's always nice to get feed back. I'm not sure if I should put character bios here for shits and giggles, but I'll refrain from it.

Yes it is a cross over series, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would get amusement out of seeing Edward Elric take on Souske Sagara, it'd be a Full Metal Alchmist, Vs Full Metal Panic battle heh. But I digress.

I'm usually not a fan of crossovers but so far nothing bothers me. In short PB is rather cool.

Also going to adress a few possible questions. Maybe it'll help people understand gameplay.

Each player has a watch that registers their HP, they can only view their own HP on this Watch, however these watches are linked to the Tournament's Match Mainframe and are monitored by both the judges, and the audience. Zoey or another announcer will often show a display on one of the screens linked to the many cameras inside a selected arenas, of the Player's HP levels, the HP looks pretty much the same way it would in a video game. A green bar with a face next to it that changes its expression as the bar Depletes.

Ways of Dying.

Shot to Death: High speed cameras set upa round the arena registers every shot that hits a player, weither they feel it or not, this shot reduces the player's Hp by a certian percent. The most simplist way to kill.

Paint Grenade: Paint Grenades are most likely fatal if you're hit by them. As Splatter coutns for a larger percentage of life, getting hit by one is most likely going to reduce your health to 0.

Suicide: If you can't go on anymore, you can press a suicide button, this will reduce your HP to zero and allow you to leave a match safely.

Knife: One of the hardest ways to kill someone, knives are filled in their blades with red paint, the red paint has to cover a vital spot on a player to get an instant kill, however the knife's splatter does have effect on the total health if its in a non vital spot.

Knock out: Punches and kicks do not count against a player's health, however if you are reduced to a state where you cannot keep fighting, your HP will drop to zero. Be careful in CQC. Someone can knock you out with a bat or other blunt object and as long as you don't die, its a legal kill.

Anyway, to start, contrary to the first post of this thing, Plastic Bullets now has 144 pages of comic, (Some bonus pages make up the other 12 or something)
We're on chapter 3, and this January we'll have been up and running for a year. Insert thumbs up here.

Y'know, if you put Team One against characters well known for long-ranged fighting, such as Lockon Stratos or Riza Hawkeye, I think they'd have a run for their money!

Also, PB is back up and running, we went dormant do to the lovely transfer of servers. But now that the site is semi working again, we can resume production.

So how do you pick your characters on who Team One would fight against?

We basically created a list of characters from our favorite animes and games, and paired them off into teams.

Throwing in a few joke teams here and there.

Some of these characters are from anime that I know about, but don't keep up with, say Code Geass and Full Metal Panic!, so sometimes it's hard for me to keep up or assess them. Though how you tear them our of their universe and put them into your own is pretty cool.

Do most of the characters you select always involve guns to fit the airsoft theme of this comic, or do you pick a character and give him or her a gun of their own?

There are few characters that don't use guns in their original series. But ultimately we try to take characters from the action Genre of games and anime. So sometimes they may not use a gun in their series, but they do fight in it.

You can actually find an out-dated list somewhere on the PB forum.

Plastic Bullets will be under new management. meaning it's just me. Do to some arguments, and a complete falling out, this comic will no longer be a team effort. It also means that there will be a slight cast change. Don't worry it won't disrupt the story, but as I cannot in good faith write for Max myself, he will be leaving the series. As he is based off my former co-writer. Originally I was just going to just scrap the series, but I've put too much effort into it, and people enjoy it too much for me to just let it die. I did most of the work for the comic myself (Drawing, writing, character design). with his editorial, and writing/story support and ideas. So it won't change drastically in style, other than the changing of a new team one member.

Fans of the series may know the new character from the limited amount of times he appeared in the series (AKA once. And then there was that one time with the title page)
I wanted to give this update. I'll also be posting a new team picture including the new character, and making several other changes to design.

Also, if anyone knows how to code HTML to give a bit more bang to the buck for the comic's page that would be pretty sweet. I want to put the main characters on each side of the comic.

Anyway, that's my update.
