It's finally here!!! Headhunter: Planet Aeruen 1.2 !!!
FOR MATURE READERS PEOPLE! ( though the prologue is pretty tame )
For those of you that kept up with Volume 1.1 and The Clockman, I won't be able to maintain the update schedule that I did with those stories as I don't have the surplus of pages that I had with those when I began posting. Many things have slowed me down, number 1 being that I'm taking more time on the line art for the comic pages. The other thing is real life: day job, the lure of parties, and my personal concerns for the implications of today's political climate. So, though I said in earlier posts that I would be updating P.A. 1.2 on a M-W-F basis, I'm only going to be able to guarantee a consistent update schedule on Mondays and Fridays.
If you don't want to wait that long between pages, you can always go to the mainsite: http://base.planetaeruen.com
as I update that one in batches of 5-8 pages at a time, the difference being that you'll be waiting longer between updates ( right now it's looking like 3-4 weeks ), but you'll have more to read in each one.
Another reason I have for spreading out my update schedule like this is that it keeps me off of that Succubus of Time we call the internet. So many hours got expended looking up economy stats, reading comics, political commentaries, and participating in forums such as this one ( to those that I debated with on the gun control topic, I had to stop because I was spending too much time on it, though it was an engaging exercise to say the least, I do apologize for just dropping out on it like that ) - all of it was time that I really needed to spend drawing my comic. It's so easy to use updating on DD as an excuse to get online, and then go "well since I'm already online...I might as well check out myspace...yahoo...gmail...comicspace...." what have you.
So yeah, that's why I won't be updating as often. Hopefully that doesn't put too much of a damper on the minimal amount of interest P.A. has been able to pick up in it's infantile little life.
I'm currently struggling to get the first 8 pages of Headhunter #1 toned and lettered and uploaded to the mainsite by tonight while trying to help manage some things for Ginck Press ( I'm going to Atsuicon (sp?) in Houston! ) as well as other nonsense. Once I get that done, it's on to the pencil work for the next 8 pages of #1.
And anybody who's interested here's me at one of the local shops during Free Comic Book Day:
I'm in the second pic from the top.
Thanks to all of you who posted comments on my comics; especially Lothar who was gracious enough to put a link to my mainsite on his ( next time I do an update on my Links page I'll be sure to get you on there, I'm sorry I didn't get it this last time - if anybody else has linked me please let me know ).
I might pop in here and there during the week to respond to any comments for page 1 of the Prologue, but until then, I'll see you guys on Friday.
