Seriously though, it sucks that you didn't win, but seeing the comic in the nominations was awesome. With how big Persona 3 FTW has become, I'm sure Persona 4TW will only grow even more, and next year's awards will have to watch out! ;D

I'm gonna let everybody know in advance. This is here for people to look at and read, so nobody can say I didn't warn them.

September 27th to October 1st will have updates every day, it's a special week. There are gonna be about 5 or 6 of these throughout the course of the story, so be sure to check often for when those are going on.

Now, bigger news.

On October 2nd, 2010, Persona 3 F will no longer exist. You can try all you like, but you won't be able to find it.

All FeMC comics are being moved over to Persona 3 FTW and will continue to update there. Also the schedule will change. Starting October 3rd (which is a sunday) Persona 3 FTW will be updating on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays (get it?)

The reason for this bonus comic every week is because I love you...and the REAL reason is because I wanted the FeMC comics to be over before Persona 4TW starts and that's not gonna happen at two updates a week.

So yeah, that's the news.

Special week at the end of the month, moving all comics back to the original comic, change in schedule. Just wanted everyone to know that.

Just making a little announcement to praise myself.

I drew SIX FeMC comics today.

For regular Persona 3 FTW and for Persona 4TW, that isn't very much...

But in the FeMC's case, drawing these six comics got me through most of October.

So it's a good feeling.

I'd like to talk about something that has been pissing me off lately.

Lately I've been trying to find out as much info as physically possible about Persona 3 Social, the mobile game recently released in Japan (some of you are already aware of this)

So in doing this I've stumbled across a lot of comments, threads, etc. etc. of peoples reactions to the simple mobile game.

Y'know what most of them said?

"Quit Milking P3 and get started on P5" or something to that degree. I would say at least 90% of all the comments I read were people bitching and whining about when Persona 5 is gonna show up.

SHUTUP

Persona 5 will come when it comes, in the mean time, try to remember that Atlus is busy with other stuff.

Your constant begging for P5 isn't going to make it get here any faster. And please please PLEASE stop acting like Atlus owes you any favors

I'm sorry readers, I don't really even know who I'm yelling at. It's just been pissing me off is all.

People really are too impatient, I mean, there was 4 years between Persona 1 and 2, and 6 years between Persona 2 and 3 (7 years in the US) but I guess people were spoiled with the 2 year gap between Persona 3 and 4 (which was only 1 year in the US.) I want Persona 5 as much as the next guy, but I'm also willing to accept the fact that there might be another 5 or so year wait. I sure wish Persona 3 Social would come to the US though...

Once again, this post has nothing to do with the comic itself, but I didn't exactly have anyone else to talk to about it and I wanted to type up some thoughts and feelings on a matter that I consider important to me.

Scrubs: Season 9 (aka Scrubs: Med School) WARNING: This critique will contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

I just got the DVD last night and watched through the 13 episodes (no commentary, very sad) and so I wanted to share my opinions on it.

First of all...It had promise, it really did. Scrubs season 8 ended with an amazing finale, one of the best finales I'd ever seen on a TV show (partially because it's one of the only shows I watch that actually...well...didn't get cancelled before the finale)

The show is supposed to be a brand new premise, even Bill Lawrence wanted it to be a new show rather than actually being Season 9, but ABC said no, so that's their doing. I'm not too upset though because if it weren't for ABC, Scrubs wouldn't have even gotten that awesome finale in the first place.

The season brought back Turk and Dr. Cox as regulars as well as the intern Denise from Season 8. With the exception of Judy Reyes (Carla) every main character appeared at least once (the janitor appearing literally once...for like 30 seconds...) Dr. Kelso appeared in 9 of the 13 episodes, J.D. appeared in...I think 6 and Elliot appeared in 4 or 5.

A few other characters we've seen before returned, such as The Todd in a number of episodes, and thankfully characters like Ted and Jordan make one final appearance to delight the audience.

Now then, onto the biggest thing about season 9...the new characters. We've got 5 new Med Students. Lucy (the new narrator) Cole, Drew, Maya, and Trang (the last two not being very big characters) and we've got Melvis and Frank, the campus security guards.

Lucy had potential, she did...but unfortunately she was basically a mix of J.D. and Elliot's more annoying qualities. She's crazy, nervous, whiny, a pushover and she sleeps with Cole about...I'd say a good 7 minutes into the first episode. There was a reason that J.D. didn't sleep with Elliot in the first episode of Scrubs. Because we wouldn't have liked her, and we wouldn't have respected him. That's sort of what happened here... Also this is a VERY minor personal complaint but...why'd she have to be blond? I googled the actress before the premiere and most of the pics showed her with brown hair. It would've fit the character a lot better.

Cole is...one of the worst and most annoying characters ever to grace the Scrubs name. The spoiled pompous son of the guy who built the hospital, Cole is about 95% unlikeable. He gets an occasional good line but...well...how do I put this. More bad things should've happened to him. For how annoying and jerkish he is, he should've gotten more comeuppance for his actions. Aside from the occasional slap to the back of the head and Kelso sleeping with his Mom (which he doesn't even find out about) there were no hilarious and divine punishments for his character.

Drew is imo the best thing about season 9. He had a hilarious backstory, some of the best lines, a good relationship with almost all of the characters. He was far from perfect, but if you need a reason to watch season 9, this is your best bet.

Melvis and Frank were hysterical together. That's really all I have to say on that matter. They only got like 1 B-story episode. But they were good for jokes, and I would've liked to see more of them.

Now here is one big thing that sorta bothered me about Season 9. I don't know why it bothered me, but it did...Too many couples. Too many hook-ups. Not everyone HAS to be in a relationship. In the first episode Lucy hooks up with Cole, and Drew hooks up with Denise. Not even halfway into the first episode and everyone is now officially not single. Even Trang and Maya who are essentially background characters who don't even have names for several episodes hook up. Also in ONE episode of Season 9, we get the return of Sunny (Denise's intern friend from season 8) Wanna guess what her storyline is? "OMG! You have a boyfriend!? You totally have to come double dating with me and Keyshawn"

I know it's a minor complaint but...too much.

Now I know it sounds like I've basically been doing nothing but bashing season 9 and some of you are probably thinking "well don't worry, it's been cancelled" but that's just it...

I'm bummed about that.

When season 8 ended on a finale, there was closure, which like I said earlier, most shows don't get to have. However...season 9 is basically a show that ended with a lot of open questions and possibilities. I would've liked to have seen more. In the last episode Cole decides he wants to be a surgeon (which I will admit, was a nice logical choice for his character) I wanna know about J.D. and Elliot's baby (which I'm surprised they DIDN'T address since she was 7 months pregnant in the first episode and the finale was about 4 months later...) I wanna know if Drew and Denise were gonna be the Turk/Carla of the series (I.E. the one successful couple)

Even though I didn't really fall in love with these new characters, I am a little saddened that I'll never get to know what happens to any of them. It feels...a little empty.

Ok, well I know this was tl;dr and I would be amazed if anyone actually bothered to read this. But it was just something that I wanted to share.

Persona 3 F no longer exists as a seperate comic. It's all back where it's supposed to be. Inside Persona 3 FTW.

Feels right.

Ok, for anyone who happens to take my advice and checks here regularly for news and updates. I used saturday (24 hour comic day) to get a LOT of work done.

I'm also a bit ahead of schedule in the FeMC comics right now.

So right now I'm making some changes to The Journey and The Answer that I feel need fixed.

The first big change (technically the second one, the first was the bonus comic in The Answer)

I went back and changed the film fesitval comics.

They're now just jokes about the characters not being able/wanting to go to the movies with the MC

This was done to make them (hopefully) a bit funnier, and also make them less of a risk in any form of legal department.

I agree with you about Scrubs, it wasn't as good as the regular series, but it still wasn't enough.

And about the changes, well.....I've been a fan from the very beggining, so I find them really interesting, just don't do a "Shinji shot first" kind of thing.XD

...That's about it. I've done most of what else I wanted.

I'm waiting to change it though because I'm having trouble finding out if Orpheus Telos was available to Aigis in The Answer or not...

So...I mean if anyone knows the answer to that...it'd help me a lot.

Finished with all of May in Persona 4TW. Played through June and wrote down all the comics I need to do for June. It's nice knowing I'm staying ahead of schedule with this so it won't kick my ass come next April.

I'm also about a month ahead of schedule for the FeMC comics. Those are easy enough to stay in that comfort zone.

I'm hoping to have the FeMC comics completely finished by February/March-ish and by April of next be at least close to September in Persona 4

Soooooo.you use a comp to draww the MS style comic,right??what program are you using??what do you use??tell me 'bout it all.
but yeah,when I first saw the comic in the MS style I was like,"Noooo..."But,now,I LOVE IT,its alot funnier,ALOT funnier,I mean,the more realstic style just dont give you the same expression.....

I just use MS Paint (the Windows Vista version) and my mouse. That's all I use to draw the comics with.

Use the circles to make heads, rectangles when needed, rounded edged rectangles for word bubbles and occasional props and everything else is just the straight line tool and lots of clicking to draw shapes.

How about the colors??its hard to find the right color for skin and clothes.

Actually with the windows Vista Paint they just give you the standard color I used for basically everyones school uniform.

As for skin, here's the combination I use.

Hue: 20
Sat: 240
Lum: 204
Red: 255
Green: 217
Blue: 179

and that gives me the skin color I use.

Last night I finished all of November for P3F. Huzzah!

I'm busy with school right now, so generally I don't have that much time to work on comics.

I am setting a goal for myself though. I wanna finish all of June in P4TW before the end of the year (which I think I should be able to do)

What about P2 EP Portable? Anyway, I wanted to ask this out of curiosity: You said before that you wouldn't make comics of Persona 1 and 2 or 5 if it took place in the past. Why is that?

Persona 1 and 2 are both set some time in the 90s (atleast 1 is) and neither adhere to the calendar system used in the later entries, so it would break the 1 update a day mold, as would a new game set in the past. They aren't exactly as open-to-parody as the others either.

I shit bricks when i heard about the IS remake, i just hope they stick with the original OST this time, atleast it's battle music looped properly.

I'm sure P2EP portable will come out a few months after IS does. I doubt they'd do one without the other.

Ardal basically answered the question. To me half the fun and appeal of the series is that it updates paralleling real life and game calandar, and I'd like to continue that when Per5ona FTW will inevitably come along

Honestly my first reaction was "Ok, now they HAVE to make P4P..." and then I was sad because the last MegaTen game before this one was P3P...It would've been nice to have a break between Personas and gotten something new.

Yeah,I am really excited about the P2IS and really wish for EP,but the bad news is,this will probably take alot of time to be released.
P.S:I didnt really hate P1P sound track,I actually loved it,more than the original.
But,I dont really want a P4P.For reasons:
1.If you asked me which one is my favourite,P3FES or P3P,I would say FES.P3P really was very good and all,but they used the same gameplay of P4,they changed the style,you cant walk around.If it wasnt for the very damn cool S.L(yeah the social links were really good in the FeMC route)and events(Inaba)and I really liked the opening(my favourite in P3 series)and other sound track...this game wasnt going to be worth it.

2.Making a P4P will ruin everything,P4 is,like,my favourite game.making it on the PSP will really make the game only worse.No animated scenes,no walking around and seeing whats really happening(the people,etc..)and atlus announced that they wont do another story for P4 like P3(the answer)which is something I was really happy about it.Someone said that they would love an FeMC,but I really dont go for this idea.I just want a one story with one MC.(Its okay to have a femal MC but with no Male MC)So,that makes P4P pretty useless.

3.Its gonna be alot better to have a P5 instead of P4P.

4.Finally,these are just my opinions,people have different opinions(...duh)but yeah,a P4P will be pretty useless in my opinion.

It's not perfect, but I worked hard on it.

Its great,but the personae(in the background) isnt really noticable,it took me alot of time to figure out which persona is this,and it was going to be nice if you added their old personae(Hermes,Orpheus,etc..)and if you added the Strega personae too,since you didnt draw them before.
