I know when I commented in the comics, I basically picked the same choices on the social links. Kyo's was decent, but Daisuke had the better comic potential. Yumi had the whole tragic past with her dad that abandonded her family get back in touch as he's dying. In the real world, that commonly leads to low self esteem, and a career in porn. Ayane's story basically was that she needed confidence, and she was almost as loli as Nanako.

As for the dating Chie and Yukiko both have had their other selves revealed to both Yosuke and the protagonist, and the forced pairings on school outings, so I can see not dating them to avoid burnout of the characters. Rise, being a supermodel (I know it's technically called an idol, but supermodel is the best equivalent), and a redhead would be at the top of my "to date" list. Naoto also has the gender identity confusion, which would make for some fun date comics. If you go with Yumi, I'd say date her, so she doesn't end up with a horrible view of men, but if you go with Ayane, don't date her. As for Ai, since you catch her on the rebound of her trying for Kou/Daisuke, I'd say go for it. Although, if you want to go for the "playa" route and date them all, that would be fun too.

Honestly I think there could be some real potential in doing a dating scene with everyone, I say this as you could make comics every once in a while with female party members starting to suspect you are cheating on them but then go nawwww.

Spoilers for those who played game

And then on the final day when he's riding off on the train you could have all the girls discussing this and finding out he had somewhere around 8 girlfriends with the MC doing something akin to the awesome face riding off on the train.

end spoilers

But for individual choices ya I would have to agree Yumi and Daisuke. You can make all the gay jokes between Daisuke and You (or w/e his name was) just in Daisuke's comic and enough jokes of him doing stuff like hit on Yosuke on sunday comics.

Thank you everyone for your input. After much thinking, this is what I've decided to go with.

Strength: Daisuke
Sun: Yumi

Girls to Date: Yukiko, Rise, Naoto, Yumi (may as well, all dating Yumi does is adds one extra scene to the final event)
Just friends: Chie and Ai

Ok now folks, I wanna discuss two things with you. (See, we're slowly moving towards production of the actual comic)

1. Skip Comics: I enjoyed them in Persona 3 FTW but I dunno if I was the only one. For those of you who don't know what skip comics are, those were the comics in P3 that ended with the MC skipping off with the other character with a (usually) happy look on his face.

Do you think I should keep those in P4 or have you guys had enough?

2. Fox Comics: In Persona 3 FTW I did the Maya comics in a different style as an ode to Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation. I kinda liked having one comic done in a different drawing style.

First of all lemme explain how Fox comics will likely go in P4. They will be wordless comics of the MC doing whatever the quest was for 4 panels and the fox will be hidden somewhere in each panel, just watching.

Do you think it'd be neat to do the Fox comics in a different style as well? More than likely it would be similar to the Internship Arc from Persona 3.

Hiya.
You realize there are several scenes in the Sun link that take place in the hospital right?
Well, the hospital is also where the Devil link takes place (the nurse naturally) and where you meet the Death link. There are also several in-game scenes that happen there. Lots of potential for crossovers.

Also, during my second playthrough, when I was dating Chie and Yukiko there was an interesting (awkward) scene where they both appeared in an empty room while I was dungeon grinding. If they didn't suspect anything before they sure did after that. lol

Yukiko and Rise are the only ones I've dated in every playthrough so far.
Rise tricks you into a guilt trip tho. Granted I would date her anyway, but still...

I really enjoyed the Skip Comics and I hope they will return in P4TW, and your idea for the Fox comic sounds really great too.

So stuff is a little behind schedule right now.

Ok everyone, I'm starting to feel better and we have everything back on schedule (for the most part lol I'm still pretty behind on The Answer right now, but it should be up on time, so no worries there)

But now we've covered most of the big things about Persona 4TW. The last thing I wanna ask and get opinions on is simple.

What do you guys wanna see?

Was there stuff in P3 you didn't like and don't wanna see anymore?
Is there stuff you would've liked to see more of?

Tell me just what you wanna see to make Persona 4 a better comic for you, the viewers.

I think more dungeon exploration etc. would be nice. There wasn't a whole lot of that in p3 but i really enjoyed the few there were. Though i can see how it might be a bit of a stretch to make those comic's funny lol.

Sorry I missed the earlier questions, but I too like the skip comics and your unique take on the fox comics. I definitely think since each dungeon is unique, some emphasis on the dungeon exploration should be added, but not too much. Also, since P4 has a different way of gaining better gear, a Daidara comic or two wouldn't hurt.

There wasn't much on the periphery of P3 FES that really needed to be added, but P4 seemed to do more with the same amount of area, it made constant use (if you were trying to MAX Social Links) of almost every screen. The roof for when you did your lunches, the shopping district for mailing stuff, the fishing along the canal, the old lady near your house who's cooking was so bad it's fish bait, etc. It was truly an immersive atmosphere that drew me in to its story.

I'm sure you probably already plan to add some, but I'd like to see a lot of the odd jobs that you can do in the game, like folding the paper cranes, or building the models, or the books you can read.

NEWS EVERYONE!

I have just finished uploading the rest of P3FTW.

Basically everyone, on March 3rd, 4th and 5th you will see 36 new comics (not each day...all together...)

I'm sorry for this tough month, but I hope it will all be worth it in the end. I also hope that everyone will stick around and continue to read Raidou between the ending and when P4 comes into play.

Also like I said a while ago, I have a bit of a surprise planned, but I don't wanna reveal any details of this new project until I can see how it plays out for myself.

I'm gonna draw some comics tonight (two Personas, one Raidou at least) and then I have a test and work tomorrow. I will try to draw at least 3 Raidou comics and 5 persona comics while at work, but know that I very rarely meet the goals I set for myself xD

Friday I also have work and will attempt to draw even more, and then the weekend I'm mostly free save for a bit of homework.

So hopefully this weekend will turn out pretty good and I can get a lot done.

Oh also, like most webcomic artists I now feel compelled to tell you about the latest forms of Media Entertainment to enter my life.

Picked up Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth on Wednesday. Almost beaten it, but been busy with school and...sleep. It really is a great return to classic Ace Attorney, I hope we won't have to wait 3 years for the next game like we did with this one.

I picked up Heavy Rain for the PS3 yesterday. It took two hours to download itself onto my console and when it finally finished I only played for about an hour. Sometimes it's a little hard to read the words floating around the characters head when you need to make a conversation choice but other than that I'm enjoying it.

A few weeks ago (beginning of the month basically) I went to the store and grabbed Season 1 of Gary Unmarried (grabbed meaning bought, not stole) for those of you that don't know what that is, Gary Unmarried is a sitcom starring Jay Mohr as a recently divorced dad dealing with the awkward dating scene, his bitchy ex-wife and his two kids. Most sitcoms I watch have the same problem of me loving the main character, but hating his family to the point where I can't watch the show.

Luckilly this isn't the case. I mean yes, his ex-wife is very similar the most other sitcom wives/ex-wives. Bitchy and Antagonistic but it's not in an overly annoying way and his kids are pretty funn too. They aren't whiny, annoying, emo or slutty.

Now I looked into this show because I'm a huge fan of Jay Mohr, but I would recommend to those of you who enjoy very sitcomy style jokes and plots (like one episode where they go visit friends and have to pretend they're still married)

So thats about it for my life. I'll post more when it comes up (how many of you are angry because in the time it took me to write this post I probably could have finished a comic?)

Cool. Oh and there was a question I wanted to ask? Will you do jokes involving the random things that the MC finds in the fridge in P4(I lol'ed at the one where the pudding was in the fridge. Stolen food always tastes great :P)?

Wouldn't surprise me to do at least one. I'm certainly going to try to get in at least one joke about most things.

Which may or may not be easier with P4 since P4 isn't AS strict with social links as P3 was. So, we'll have to wait and see.

I can say with certainty though that I'll try to fit in jokes for everything

Hey hey everyone! Good news!

Today is March 1st

That means the day after tomorrow you'll all get to see comics again!

Anyone wanna start things up with a cool drum roll or a countdown or what have you?

Anyone got a speech they wanna share or something to chime in with before the comic is officially ended?

Persona 3 FTW is done. I have finished The Journey.

At the end of the month we'll have The Answer and I'm gonna guess around October or so we'll have some P3P stuff.

...It's all done. Almost a year of work, finished.

How does everyone else feel?

I feel rather sad, really.

First, congrats on finishing the main part of the comics...It ends nicely.
I still remember how back in the days, I was always waiting for your next comic, day by day. It has been a great year for me, wow...it's been that long huh? x_x
The earliest topic I could find about your comic on GFaqs is
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=937269&topic=49669163
It was posted on May 26th!

Your comic was definitely something, Scott. Your sense of humor is great, and the art style definitely complements that. Wow, I don't know what to say, this is awkward xP

Anyway, great work on P3FTW, and I'll definitely be looking to more great works from you!

heh, his original topic is :"Read my comic. :D" or sth, right Strain.

I remember doing a project at the time, then Strain come into my topic and tell me about his comic. That's how I got hook up with his amazing comic and drunk duck altogether. Ah, good'ol time. But it's weird how his original topic got deleted by the mods.

Well, the next year is gonna be quite boring without P3FTW everyday. Luckily I got *cough*etrance exams*cough* stuff to take care of. I'll look forward to P4TW next year!

I remember what started this for me... *Fades to flashback* I was just lurking on the Persona 3 FES board on GameFAQS when I saw a topic "Read My Comic? :D" I was skeptical at first, that topic title made me think that it was going to be some short, lame fan fiction, but I decided to give it a shot. As soon as I got to the 4th comic "Everyone Had to Sign It" I knew this was going to be great. I was reading the comic at work and I had to try so hard not to laugh. Now after its all done, I'd have to say that my favorite comic is #15 "Candyman Can" it cracks me up every time. ^_^

You guys...

Thanks, you're bringing back a lot of great memories for me.

Y'know, the series probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it did without dedicated readers like you.

I originally thought it would go for a month, i'd get depressed because nobody was reading it and i'd just quit, the comic would fade into oblivion.

But now...yeah

It's been great doing this comic, and I look forward to all the comics I'm gonna do in the future.

Hope someday you'll all get to see me at some tiny booth at a convention somewhere for something.

That'd be cool

Ok folks, answer update time

I'm 35 comics in so far, and I am right up to where they would fight the ??? Shadow. I haven't decided how i'm going to do that particular fight yet. But one thing I do know is I have yet to draw Metis' persona, so I need to work that in somewhere.

Right now I still haven't decided how the answer is gonna be uploaded, but I am marking certain comics as "enders" so that if I do decide to just not upload it all in one day I can spread it out.

So far we're up to about 11 days or so. Meaning if I finish before March 20th, I will be able to start uploading then.

Basically the faster I work, the sooner you guys will get to see it lol.

Just thought I'd let you hear the updates so far.

And yeah, ??? Shadow seems like a hard one to get it right, maybe you could make it like the Persona4FTW fights, as a sort of preview? Just an idea~

Ok, for some reason I'm feeling really jittery, like I'm not gonna be able to complete The Answer on time.

Today is the 15th. At the very LATEST I have to obviously upload it on the 31st.

So I've got about 16 days and I would say I'm about 3/4ths into the story.

A giant chunk I know for a fact is going to be the ending, which is gonna be big.

I know a bit of it is actually on April 1st, so that gives me an extra day.

I dunno, I'm gonna keep working but I feel like i'm drastically behind schedule.

Like if I don't draw 5 comics a day I'll never make it on time.

I get out of school 10 minutes from now, I'll get home around 7:30. I'll try to draw at least 2 comics tonight.

Wish me lucky people

...seriously, I need support

Ok everyone, update time.

I drew SEVEN comics today. Which I don't think is a record, but I think is still pretty good.

Right now I am currently about to start the fight against A and K (look at me, trying to avoid spoilers lol)

I imagine each fight will be about 3 comics or so, similar to January 31st when they fought Jin and Takaya

Before Fight
Fight
After Fight

So do that for all three battles, thats 9 comics I need to do.

Then a bit of aftermath when all the fights are over. (3 perhaps)

Roughly...5-7 for the final events/final boss

Then I would honestly guess MINIMUM of 10 for the games ending.

So I have currently drawn 46 comics and we're looking at a rough estimate of at least 28 more or so.

So The Answer will come to at least 70 comics.

Not bad for essentially 2 days lol.

Like I said, if I finish with time to spare and end up seeing how many comics I've done, the series may start earlier than anticipated. I could spread them out over a week, or more. Or less. It all depends on the final number of comics and when I actually finish.

So...yeah

Getting 7 comics done today has filled me with a bit more hope. Tomorrow I'll work on the A/K Fight, then maybe Thursday I can get the J/K and the Y/M fights done.

I'm gonna set a goal for myself (which means I'll set it but more than likely will not accomplish it) I will finish The Answer by next saturday (the 27th)

Anyone wanna volunteer to help keep me motivated to try and do that?
