Everyone, gather 'round, you will not believe this...or maybe you will, whatever.
Persona 3 FTW is (at the time of writing this) Number 1 on DrunkDuck. The date is January 6th, not even 2 years old and it's climbed to number one.
I owe it to all of you. I doubt it will stay there for long (and it shouldn't, Charby is a great series that deserves to be beating me lol) but for now...I've never been more proud of it...
I took this screen shot to immortalize it

Yup, first time (to my knowledge anyways) the series has ever been number 1.
Now lets see if we can't do the same with P4!!!

Congratz, man. I am really happy with how this comic have grown.
I am proud, it was a pretty hard work from you.
Now that hiimdaisy left his P4 comic, I am expecting P4TW to be even greater.
You know what, I will celebrate by reading the whole comic again.

Hiimdaisy left her comic? I know the fourth part was delayed, but I didn't know if she was actually quitting it or not.
That's actually a little sad. I like her comic.
At first I was just reading it to make sure I didn't accidentally steal any jokes, but I really enjoy it.
I still quote it on a fairly regular basis lol

Furrealz? I LOVED hiimdaisy's comics! ; A;
Congrats, Strain! You did a good job to make it there these past few years, and it's a good start for 2011 on your comic! Though...tbh, I always thought those were just random spots that changed around every now and then...

Well there are 3 lists of 10 on DrunkDucks front page
Top 10, Most Recently Updated, and Random
So the 10 comics you see on the far right are all random ones, but the top 10 has to be earned.
Or it's just a popularity contest, which would explain how I got there :P

Yes, hiimdaisy left her comic. The final part will be the fourth, she said she wasn't interested in persona 4 anymore (tsh...girls)and that now she has some bigger plans. I was really sad, it was one of my favourites.
In other news, P3FTW is still number 1, which is good. Maybe its because of the Shinji arc, everyone loves Shinji, and it was pretty funny, plus, it updated daily. Or maybe people started realising how great this comic is and started reading it.(Actually, everyone loves this comic).

IMO, drawn comics like P3FTW are a lot easier than photo comics, though it's beaten by sprites. Sprites, you already have a set to use, only need to do minor editing and such and can easily do things in a day and still work on the next comic for the next few days. Drawn comics require more technique and offer more use of expressions. Photo comics are VERY risky, as they're hard to get what you want and require multiple shots of the same panel to choose from.
I'd rather do drawn comics if I had more drawing skills...well, I'm learning, but I still have difficulty in so many things...

Yeah, Photo comics can be tricky.
I doubt many of my readers right now remember this, or even knew it existed, but for a short time in 2009, I had a photo comic called Ace Detective Raiho.
It was a photo comic where the Raiho plushie that came with Devil Summoner 2 where he solved cases in a land inhabited by plushies.
I didn't get very far into it.
Maybe I'll spark it back up some day into the future. Once Persona 4TW is done and Johei gets back on an easier schedule.
Everything depends on what gets done when.

The key to photo comics with inanimate and posable objects, say plushies and toy figures, is to get the right amount of distance and angle to give it a more "movie-like" effect.
Say you're watching your favorite action movie. The camera is USUALLY zoomed up close to the person when they're doing a dialogue scene. Digital cameras nowadays have the feature that focuses more on the front than what goes on in the back (usually that technique adds for a more comical effect, as it combines two different scenes in one transition).
That kind of technique usually requires a GOOD amount of approximation and a mental image of the scene you want.
BTW, that Raiho plushie, is that the one that looks like a Jack Frost type of demon/Persona?

Everyone.
STOP.
Now raise both of your hands.
Now high five yourself.
I know I did when I finished comic #700 of Persona 3 FTW. I have completely finished the series now.
It'll be updating through April. Ending right before Persona 4TW starts up.

No? No high fives?
All right, fine.
I'm just here to say something...
But I'm not really sure what it was...
...How be things?
Have you checked out the official Strain42 Comics Facebook page yet?
I wouldn't blame ya if you haven't.
Just seemed like a good idea at the time.
I'm trying to branch out, explore new things with my comics.
Really connect with my readers on a personal level. A way to let them know that I'm listening

I will NEVER reach that limit. XD Maybe it's b'cause your comics are easier to do than mine...I think I'm actually running out of ideas. I need more figures! Ah mou~! When are they gonna announce D-Arts Thanatos or Izanagi!...Or did I vote for Orpheus...
But hey, congrats. You got the series done! I never finish any of my works, but they're always finished in my head. I just fill them in somewhere in the middle.
BTW, i meant to PM this to you, but I forgot. I thought you might like it:

I think these are Nendoroids, chibi or super-deformed versions of other characters (accept you can't really chibi-fy or SD-ify Jack Frost...), distributed by Max Factory, the same company that distributes figma (i.e., Black Rock Shooter, Dead Master, and Aigis) figures. I don't think Nendoroids are posable, but since Jack Frost is a universal SMT icon, I thought you might have wanted it.

Well I was over there because my dad was in the military. I lived in Yokota, and I finished up high school over there.
I lived right outside of a city called Fussa, which is actually very similar to Inaba from Persona 4 (a bit bigger, but a similar feel)
I was walking distance to the train station, so I'd head off and do stuff fairly often. I went to Tachikawa a lot because it was close and huge and fun, every now and then my sister and I would go to Akihabara.
I worked as a taxi driver when I was over there (on base, I didn't drive around Japan directly or anything lol)
I dunno, there's not too much to say. It was a nice place, I learned enough of the language to get by over there, I enjoyed it.
I'd consider going back some day, not sure if I'd wanna live there again, but would certainly wanna visit.
Also...CoCos Curry. I'd go back there just for that. lol
