In Photoshop, or any similar program, when using the pen or line tool is there any easy way to draw from the same point? I never use the pen tool but it seems to always draw from the last anchor point. Is there a way to keep drawing from the first anchor point? Is there a button I can hold down or some setting I have to change?
It seems like a pretty simple thing that would be quite handy so I hope there's a way. Thanks.

I don't think there's a way to do it the way you're thinking 'cause of how vectors work in PS.

Er, no, the vector tools in PS, Illustrator (or almost any adobe product save maybe flash..) don't work that way. They are intended to be used to make complete shapes, not lines. To work with them correctly, you kind of have to learn to think of anything with a solid fill as a shape, like a square, circle, triangle or odd oblong sausage that is filled in with color and to create an image, you overlap them.
Its really its own sort of artform to draw with vectors, but I think the only application with the sort of functionality you are looking for is Flash, although mangastudio EX has a vector capability that MIGHT have some more of this type of functionality. But I haven't played with it myself really.
Honestly though, Photoshop is kinda crappy for linework. There are much better options. Even opencanvas works better. :/

Thanks for the responses.
I just thought perhaps I was missing out on something.
Actually I don't even use photoshop to draw but just found the line tool was handy and was wondering if there's an easier way to manipulate it. Guess not. : /
Well thanks for your help!!

You can keep creating lines from the same anchor in Illustrator, by the way, but I haven't messed around with it too much so I'm not sure how useful doing that would be. Using vectors to line comic artwork is beyond me anyway, lol.
