So, I've had my files saved in Paint, and I'm afraid I haven't a clue how to make them be able to be put here. Could someone quickly tell me?....

Save in a format that doesnt' end in .BMP
Try a gif, jpg, or png

I'd be grateful if someone could tell me specifically how to do that.
Obviously, I'm no computer whiz!
What, do I erase the .bmp and replace it with something like .gif :?

No when you save the file there should be a dropdown that lets you select the format.
