I think the key to improvement is to just work at it. I used to not know how to draw a thing about five years ago. Every aspect of my art sucked. But I drew and drew and drew and I think I've come a long, long way.

I think you have to focus in on what you don't know how to do well and force yourself to keep drawing it. Right now, I have a hard time with hands D:. I have no clue why. But I still force myself to draw them, and in my free time I draw hands.

I have ALWAYS had a real problem with drawing hands and feet (especially bare feet with the toes). To try and fix this nagging problem. I've practiced drawing the hands and feet of people on magazines. And I would always draw them well. But when it comes to drawing hands and feet on my comic, it always ends up looking weird.

I've always had problems with backgrounds, too. But I'm slowly getting better at that.

My advice for hands is use the two perfectly functional models that everyone is born with. Mine have gotten better. But yeah, hands are hard.

Shading is my new bane, but I've been getting better at that, too.

Only problem with that is you can't see the proper hands from the proper angles all the time. My solution is a digital camera and either an automatic timer or an understanding friend. Great for any kind of posing. I have had some weird pictures on my camera...
