... Text Effects, like 'BADABOOM' or something.
Well, you can just type it with a really great, lettertype, but that's not really awesome, how do you make the 3D awesomeness of righteous text effects?
Comic Talk, Tips and Tricks
Okay, how do you guys make...

I personally draw it in, like I draw in most of my sound effects.
It's just when I'm really lazy, I usually go for that text look.

Drawing it in is usually the easiest way. Just draw it in perspective and create the style of font you want by hand. Typography and text are good things for any illustrator or designer to learn anyway.
PS doesn't really have an easily adaptable font that I know of to get 3-d effects that look all that great. Most of the ones I've seen just end up looking cheesy when paired with most comic illustration styles. It takes a bit of work to do that sort of thing digitally and it's tough to match a hand-drawn style.

Edit/Transform/Warp in Photoshop. (You'll have to Rasterize the type layer first though).
Then double-click the layer and add shadow, stroke, etc. (or Layer/Layer Style... same thing)

No don't draw it in, it will look gaudy(unless you're really good at writing-lba has a knack at it ;) )
Go to places like blambot.com and dafont.com and download comic fonts, install them, and use.
You can download 3d ones to- but you can also do what cartoon professor said.

Blambot.com has some really good fonts available for free....
I do all my lettering in Illustrator, and pretty much recommend doing any work with type in Illustrator-- but a lot of people use Photoshop as well... it sounds (and probably more people have it over illustrator/have more experience with it).
I don't really do a lot of sounds effects, though... so what do I know.... (I did have a "Skreeee!" a few pages back, though!)
