This story doesn't make sense. There needs to be more information.

Most likely scenario is he unknowingly bought cards which were obtained illegally. They're gonna question him then let him go.

OR, maybe now that he's gotten away with murder, he's drunken with power and trying to commit as many crimes as possible. It's not as likely of a scenario, but it's still pretty likely.

C'mon that's not how it works. A wife abuser who killed his wife is not going to go out and rob a store for baseball cards, just because he killed his wife. Outside of ex-wife-killing, a football celebrity's gonna do the things celebrities do, like play golf and buy baseball cards.

I'm withholding judgement until I see if the glove fits.

If the story is real, maybe he had an argument for some reason and just pocketed the cards afterwards...? I've heard your crazy American news stories before, many times some morons seem to call the police for stupid things and they manufacture bizarre ways to turn it into criminal charges... Very popular thing to do to stupid celebrities. ;)

The latest update is that OJ and some of his buddies stormed into a memorabilia trader's hotel room in order to get back some stuff which OJ felt was his. OJ was screaming and shouting obscenities, and ordered that no one leaves the room. Allegedly some of his buddies were packing heat. This properly turns it into armed robbery.

Idiot got himself audiotaped, too. America is hoping he gets it good this time.
