Is No More Heroes a clever criticism of how repetitive videogames are, is it just broken? I mean, the characters are the most perfect clichés of poorly-translated-animé ever. Good use of the Wii controls though, and the central idea is really good. Anyone else played it?

I haven't played it, but the guys from Game Informer gave it a 6 or somesuch. I've grown to trust those guys in general. Not sure WHY, but I have.

I WANTED to rent it, but the place I get games from, gottaplay.com, doesn't have it for some reason. >_> Oh yeah, but they have Brawl of course.

The reviews on No More Heroes varied A LOT. Some people thought the game wasn't any good. Others believe it is one of the best and most original games in a long time. I haven't tried it yet, but with the potential it has going, I probably will.

Shplane, you should never leave your opinions up to just one magazine. Even if they generally match your taste, you're going to cheat yourself at some time. But aside from that, you should probably avoid this game anyway since it sometimes uses motion controls and I know you don't like that.

I loved it, half the time I didn't expect what was coming, like the massive battle with Letz Shake (hahaha, oh wow. Did not expect that), the whole mini-game on the metro, and the way the Wiimote would act as a "phone". The ending went over my head, honestly, the game just loves messing with your head.

The overworld sucked though, the city of Santa Destroy was too bland and uninteresting to willingly explore on one's own time. I must say, No More Heroes is not for all people, which is why it got mixed reviews, I'd suggest to rent it first.

It's a half broken game, and a half excellent game.
