Newsarama To Review Three DD Webcomics

Alright...so...

My name is Ryan McLelland for those who don't know...or think that my DD name on here is...um...fake. No it is my real name...my fake name is "Johny Ray Vaughn" (that's completely true...and don't ask).

I do a few weekly columns on Newsarama (I've been writing there for near six years...you've read my stuff...trust me...this past week I did an article on DD's own Edgar Allan Poo!) and post SD Comic-Con I'll be returning my column 'Your Indy Weekly' from hiatus. I just needed to get some new stuff...take a break ...etc.

So what? What's this gotz to do with the topic?

WELL...one of the first four 'Your Indy Weekly' columns...I'm going to cover 3 DD webcomics...try to get people over to here!

This isn't a contest...there is no PICK ME or rhyme or reason to how I'll pick...just post here in this topic...say, "HEY I'm blah blah and I do blah blah and I've been working on blah blah for blah blah." Whatever! :)

And then...post San Diego I'll lock out the topic (or ask an admin to do so...) and then simply write about the webcomic!

Why? Well...Drunk Duck has gone from a site I never knew about to the one site I visit the most...I love being on here! So I figured I'd give something back because...I can! And I thought I'd pass the love on to some people as well!

So that's it...I guesh.

Ry

Thanks,
VS.

I really don't want to put my name in the hat because it seems so shameless. :/

But can I put people I'd like to see get more exposure in the hat maybe? ^_^ Let me know.

Sure thing...if you want to 'throw other people's name in the hat' by all means!!! One can always appreciate 'not pimping oneself'...though this might be a great time to actually do so.

Shrug...

But whatever's whatever!

If you want to review something overly pretentious and "artsy" I'd suggest taking a look at my title Fullmoon Stories.

http://www.drunkduck.com/Fullmoon_Stories/

It's got pretty colors and ...stuff.

And...if I put this in the wrong spot...
Can an admin just move it and not lock it out??? Cause that would rock...or stink...depending on what you do.

Oh okay! ;) Star Cross'd Destiny

Otherwise, I've always loved Dreams in Synergy as a body of work. It's always very enveloping. :D I think would be a fun one to review.

Oh, what the heck. We here at Voodoo Walrus Productions (all two of us) might as well do the shameless self-promoting thing and suggest http://www.drunkduck.com/Voodoo_Walrus/ for this little venture. Certainly couldn't hurt.

Wow. I'm not a resident of America, but this sure sounds interesting.

I'm not sure if I've drawn enough of my comic to be deserving of such a review... I mean, I haven't even completed the prologue yet, and it's all over the place, skill and media-wise... But, it would still be an honour if you would take a look. xD

So. I'm ReincarnatedParano (real nickname Rio). I draw in an anime-influenced (I won't say anime style, because it's not) style, and I have been working on my comic, RAID, for about 10 years now. XD! Not the comic itself, but the entire plot in general. So, as you may guess, I'm very passionate about it, it's my most extensive project and it has come a long way.

Good luck! :3

I have no shame! :D

Sword of Heaven (link = sig banner) or Untold Tales of Half-Life 2 (which is in a banner in my Sword of Heaven posts). Either one is fine. I like my work on both.

Have fun in San Diego! Wish I was going, but the Landlord will not let me this year (insert sad face).
My name is Jaymes Reed: comic creator, writer & letterer. Those who actually take time to read my comics seem to like them and say DD should review me or something... but I cannot get them to say a word back to me when I write them... even TECHNICAL SUPPORT!
Then I try to get s or s... no go. Everyone else gets 25+... I get dippety-doo.
So now is YOUR CHANCE to IGNORE ME, also! Aren't that special? lol

Soooo:

Your fake name is Johny Ray Vaugh?

I KNOW A REAL RAY VAUGHN!

Anyway, I'm Jon Smith (real name) and I work on Thompson Gunners. (Yes, like the Warren Zevon song). I just put a plug thread up. But anyway. It's basically a Futuristic Western Sci-Fi, with Ninjas, robots, spiritual deities, government experiments, and so on.

http://www.drunkduck.com/Thompson_Gunners/index.php?p=196395

The art isn't fantastic in the first issue, but it gets better in the second issue.
I'm Jon. You can call me Dr. Jon... but I prefer Jon since I'm not really a Doctor.
