Is the wolf a photoshop thing or is that part just a photograph? Regardless, the sig pic looks nice. I'm going to assume you added an O to Okami on purpose.

That's true. It's supposed to be ookami. It's a japanese word and pronounced like that. It's written like the Kanji above it.

And I think the wolf is painted. I found it on google.

Hmm, start by making it smaller; the maximum sig size in most forums is 400 by 150. I like what you did with the text, especially the placement of it. Some depth would also be nice, but for that you would probably want smaller text. Overall, it's a nice job.

I haven't made a sig in a couple months. They're fun though.

What program are you using?

I like it.

One suggestion though. Less "drop shadow". One thing I was fortunate enough to learn early in my design career was "the drop shadow is a band-aid for bad design".

That isn't to say that drop shadows don't have their place... it just means that drops shadows are the 5 second tool that all designers know and fall back on. :(

The font seems like it's a chinese kung fu theatre font instead of japanese.

Anyways though... I dig it. It's well blended and the wolf reminds me of my puppy. ;)

I did, actually. As I was saying, most sites that I've been too have the limit at 400 by 150. Drunkduck requires sigs to be even smaller. I generally make mine 400 by 125.

Here's one I made in the GIMP a while back.


As you can see, it's smaller, but is still easy to make out. While it is one of my favorites, It's look is very generic where yours is nice and original. And yes, I do my text blending the noob "white overlay + drop shadow way".
