For those that live in the US, this game just came out today. Anyone else follow the series? I've put in about two hours already, and it's a lot of fun. While it does follow the same format (as to be expected), it's just as endearing with its new storyline and slew of puzzles.

Also, I'm loving how they improve the impressive cinematic sequences they have to offer throughout the game. Now there's even more videos and animated scenes than before. Overall, it's what you've come to know from a Layton game, just with different puzzles and a new story!

I've fallen behind on the Layton games, but I played the first one and I loved it. I will eventually get to this newest one. I'm actually excited to continue the Layton games, but I have a few games to get out of the way before that that happens.

Nice to see that someone else owns a DS! :) Yeah, I'm not sure about you, but with portable systems I actually have a hard time just sitting down and playing through them. For that reason, they're left for the several trips I might go on throughout the year. As a consequence, some of them - even the good ones - collect a lot of dust. So I can understand where you're coming from!

But yeah, Unwound Future has new mini-games this time around (like the dog and the giant puzzle you completed throughout the first one). Pretty good so far, but not far enough to start choosing favorites yet. ;)

Lots of people have DSes :] I'm fexcited to hear there's a new Layton, I don't keep up with video game news so it's usually a surprise to me when something new comes out.

Layton doesn't come out here til mid-october though, and I don't want to play it bad enough to import it. Sad thing is when I do get it, it will be at the same time Fable3 and Fallout:NV come out, and Fallout is going to win that little battle.

Hmm, this predicament reminds me of a puzzle...
