After five months of being mum, I visited an old friend's forum to revisit and see how things were going. It was cool, and brief, since I like... showed up around one in the morning. xD But it was great. However, after taking a look around - I was pretty surprised to see this mentioned, much less to see that it's gonna happen: after what looks like the new 'Darkwing Duck' series comics sold well, they went ahead and allowed BOOM studios to make the new set of 'Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers' comics out there.

Discussion

Wow. Although I don't read much comics anymore (my last real comic series enjoyment was from Marvel Zombies 1 - 3 and Return), this looks like it might be pretty interesting. Art's impressive like it never got old, and fresh off of the sales from back in the early 90's. Marvel must be working with them to bring it back or something, eh? ;D

I wasn't sure if this fit withing General Discussion, this one, or the Media section. My general thought was that it'd be this one since it seemed to work with 'comics in general'. But yeah.

Yup. It's funny how BOOM! is finally getting it right. These comics should have been around for much longer. It makes a lot more sense for the general populace to buy Disney comics than to buy, say, superhero comics. I certainly welcome them.

I haven't seen these things around. I would imagine something like this would be at the comicbook section at a local Safeway, near the magazines, but I reckon they're probably in the comic stores? x__X Shoot.

I sure hope they keep this going. I always sorta figured Disney kinda sold out like MTV at some point.

If I would be American, I would be hoping they will publish Paperinik New Adventures [tvtropes.org] in USA as a part of this new Disney line.

They're idiots if they continue to cater their literature to comics stores instead of supermarkets and toys stores.

FIGHT current chapter: Filling In The Gaps
FIGHT_2 current chapter: Light Years of Gold

I suppose the drawback between a comicbook store and that of a shopping market would be where it's placed. My store in town has them out in the front, but they're well-hidden between an ungodly amount of Bieber cover magazines, and a whole splooge of muscle fitness. That, and guns and ammo! I'm not surprised at all, lol; I moved from the city there, and the whole five years has been like a five-year run of 'Green Acres'.

But comicbook stores cost too much, and plus, you can't read them. D: I once got busted for thumbing through the new R.I.P Batman series... didn't end too well, lol.

Exactly!

Also, their comics seem to have pretty low print runs... it's been quite hard for me to hunt down back issues of Darkwing Duck :/
