Hey guys long time no post.

Let's pretend we can see the future...

What new webcomics(webcomics that are less than two years old) that you have ran into lately that you believe will rise up in popularity and become a hit (as long as they keep updating).

(We can check this post later and see if we were right.)

Please don't nominate your own...

Links would be awesome.

Super Normal Step - Done by none other then former DDer Lucky SNS hard to pin down. It feels a bit like if Gendy's take on Star Wars but with more humor. Off the wall but smart with a clean art style and interesting character which are still developing. SNS hasn't answered many questions yet about its story line but that is because it is having to much fun asking the questions. It is a fun comic which I'd recomend for anyone looking for a great new comic to read.

The comic benefits greatly from stepping over the corpses of all Lucky's abandoned comics like Stuffed Jim so even though we're still learning about the characters you can tell almost all of them have been clearly thought out by the author. Its currently having its birthday week with some fan art so ignore the most recent page and click back to the start.

Supernormal really climbed fast. The story doesn't sound that bad too.

http://www.sisterclaire.com/ This comic was pretty hot, but the updates have really slowed down.

http://www.nofna.com/ This is my favorite webcomic. It has a cult following. Sad to say it probably won't ever come up to overall popularity.

http://www.tryinghuman.com/ This is such an odd paring comic. The art style is something to get used to. The coloring and story are really well done.

http://door.smackjeeves.com/ Toilet Genie. Don't let the title keep you from checking it out. Very strong story and art right at the beginning. I think this one is my #1 choice as long as the creator keeps up the updating.

http://www.drunkduck.com/Denizens__Attention/ This is my pick for eventual frontpage on drunkduck. Denizens Attention can very well become the new DD top comic.. as long as it keeps going.

Hmmm... It's practically impossible to predict what comics will hit it big. It takes talent for sure, but it also takes a lot of luck I think. And what level are popularity are we talking about?

Are we talking XKCD, PVP, Penny Arcade, Achewood realms of popularity? :) I dunno, I"ll go out on a limb and say this one http://www.drunkduck.com/Orbit/

Just a feeling. But it's all a crapshoot.

It's a Grizzly Bear battling Zombies. Do you need to know more?
DOLLAR STORE HAIRCUT A daily webcomic of unfunny.

Orbit makes really corny jokes, but that might be part of the appeal. It'll get to the top 50 at the very least.
Read this comic. It is the greatest journal comic ever written and drawn. Trust me.

Agreed, It's got a pretty broad audience I think.

I also think these comics have a lot of potential:

Not sure if they'll get really popular but *I* like them, and that's all that matters! =D

There is this comic on Drunk Duck called Anecdote that, while it has been featured, seems to still have a relatively small audience. Personally, this comic has a lot of potential to reach high numbers.

I gotta say, Grace, your comic's got a lot of potential. It's a very unique and very interesting premise that should appeal to those who like sci-fi, political or religious-themed stories. Hopefully New America will get lots of residual traffic once it drops off the feature bar.

It has already been featured but I have to say I have very high hopes for Elspeth and Fusion They are both good examples of High Quality storytelling and art being part of the Web comic’s scene.
In addition, I just like superhero stories and stories about green chicks in armor. Go fig.

Elspeth, yes, that's definitely a comic that has major potential.

I need to add another awesome comic that's just getting its start: Wayne & Toby. The artwork is top-notch and the gags are nice and edgy.

(I should also mention that one of the people involved with W&T will be at the Dallas Webcomics Expo in August.)

Here's another one I like: Flame of Earth. I really enjoy how expressive the characters are.
