I posted some of my first drawings with the tablet I got for Christmas. Some of them Are really new. As an artist how can I improve my art for my eventual comic on Drunk Duck. Also, what are good dimensions for my pictures as they are way to big.Thank you very much.

The line art is pretty good, could possibly do with beinf a little tidier but I'm not one to talk about that as mine always looks sketchy anyway.

Dimensions, I post at a width of 800 pixels.

Try altering line width for the inking, closer objects and outlines having thicker lines etc.

A lot of things will come with practice but good so far.
New comic alert. [..]

Thanks for your comments. I really need to get to work on improving character anatomy. I'm not good at drawing bodies.

Study gesture drawing to cure that!

You SUCK!

Kidding.

I actually think that these are rather well done.

I like the Persephone one most but notice that it looks like you spent a lot less time on the body than you did the head, so I suggest you take a little more time on the body but the same amount on the head.

Also, Doodle 2 is fantastic. :)

I think these are a good start, you especially have faces down pretty good. They're basically sketches, so you'd want to have one of these sketches on the bottom layer, then create a new layer and switch to black and use the magnifying glass to zoom in and then ink more carefully. Use these sketches as your guideline for more careful inking (you might want to sketch in light blue since it's easier to ink over them with black). You usually need to zoom to 200 or 300 percent to get a good inked line.

I don't know what resolution you're using, but you should be working at about 300dpi, 7x10.5 inch canvas... then a normal inking pen would be set to around size 5 (these look like you've used Paint Tool SAI which is perfect for inking for webcomics and pinups and stuff).
