I for one, really enjoyed the series Monster when it started coming out as a fansub. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next much of the time.
I was checking on the anime being licensed since I know the manga is already out here and I discovered that while it had not been, New Line Cinemas had the guy who adapted History of Violence working on not one, but TWO movie adaptations of the series for American audiences.
That really put a frown on my face, and I really hope its just a dirty rumor, but it doesnt seem that way:

Any other fans of Monster out there?
If so, what are your thoughts on an American live action version?

I think this is one of those properties that could be better as a movie than it is in a drawn-out series. To me, the concept didn't seem to warrant the length.
