So I'm making a comic (hopefully this time) and im stumped on a "also known as" name. (also i did not take this from anyone to clear that up. I just got this idea in the shower 7.7;;;)ANYWAYS.
Here is my quick summary of what the story is going to be.
---
When a serial killer named Asio Cartmillo or_________ has a spree of 400 plus, the police and FBI are trying everything they can to find him. Unfortunately ___ is a master, and leaves almost no trails. Only when someone nicknamed Destroyer, who can find, and “destroy†someone just by contact online, meets ____ in a chat room trying to score another hit, he slips up and leaves a small almost undetectable trail for Destroyer.
the ___ is the spot where the aka name would go.
So I need suggestions for a name.
I will take as many as you can dish out, but please don't suggest the following.
Dr.Jackal
Kira
Killer
Internet slayer (I got these suggestions from this one guy i talk to)
also try and stay away from movie names like Hanabal (spelling i know) and such.
And if I take the name, I will put your name into my comic as special help or something =D
thanks!~

Where does this guy originally come from? Or what's his ethnic background?
I could probably muster something up if I knew that... Does it have to be a normal name or a nickname-ish thing?

What's the killer's modus operandi? How does he kill his victims? How does he contact them?
Wikipedia lists a few unidentified serial killers - names like Bible John, Phantom Killer, Shotgun Man, Stoneman, Mr Cruel, etc., etc. I'm not recommending picking one of these names (as they're already taken), but I suppose you could find inspiration there.

When the media give a serial killer a nickname, it's usually something sensational and related to some gruesome or interesting detail. Boston Strangler, Shotgun Man, Zodiac Killer, etc. I imagine most of these will end with some form of identifier like 'killer'
When the killer gives himself his name (ie a control/image freak) it's usually something more enigmatic and interesting, sometimes reflecting his motives or outlook. This might be more like a message than a name or a description of what he does. These are more likely to start with "The" I'd think.
I'm not sure police give serial killers names (they might have codenames?) but I imagine they're more based on regions or factual things and as least sensational as possible
Maybe have a look over a list of serial killers (wikipedia must have something, or the crime library online) and see if you get any ideas :) Don't pick something just because it sounds cool, because it doesn't usually end up working out that way. Pick something because it describes what you want and illustrates the character to some degree.
(Just as a note, if he has a known kill count of 400 plus, he kind of IS leaving a trail... if people can link all the kills together than they know his MO, which goes a way toward finding out his personality, etc. The most successful serial killers are the ones that are never found out about.)

Call him "Kyupol", "APC", or "Lefarce".
Those are great names for serial killers. I can just imagine hearing about them on the news! :)
