I finally went to see Nacho Libre today. It was great! Yes, im saying a movie from Nickelodeon was GREAT! It was frick'n hilarious. It had been a long time since i'd seen a truly original movie, and this movie filled the whole with in my soul. Personally i loved it, i was just wondering what you people thought of it.

I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it was the best movie I've ever seen, but I would certainly be happy to see it again.

I loved the movie. You could definatly tell it was written by the creator of Napolean Dynamite. It had that kinda-sorta-real-life-but-not-exactly-real-life type of funness.

I didn't like Napolean Dynamite and I've never been a big fan of Jack Black, so I have a feeling this movie isn't good for me.

*GASP* YOU ARE SATAN!
Hating Napoleon Dynamite is one thing (i thought it was the stupidest movie ever), but hating THE Jack Black, with such great movies as School of Rock and....uh...hmmm...ah...no...and Nacho Libre! :D
nah, your entitled to your opinion, but i find it hard to believe anyone would dislike this movie, no matter whose in it.

Yeah, I'm sure he would since that's what I digest into.... Thunder.
It's just that I saw Tenacious D in concert once. Both he and his redneck buddy were drunk out of their minds and actually didn't sound that great because of it. Tribute was kind of good but the rest was a weak two-man-show filled in with angry drunken rambling.
But that's not the point. Jack Black's acting career is different and he's actually not bad as an actor.... I just don't think he's a reason to go see a movie.
(Incidentally, I just watched an episode of X-files that had Jack Black before he was very famous. It was quite fun.)

I don't think it was the one. This was five years ago in Idaho and they were sandwiched in between Weezer and Jimmy Eat World, stone drunk.
One of my friends worked for Weda when they did the special effects for King Kong. He handled virtual Naomi Watts' hair in a lot of shots. He told me that one day he rushed to get into an elevator with is friend. They both made it in, and they noticed they were standing right next to Jack Black, who was of course completely plastered. He asked my friend, "So what do you do?"
He replied, "I'm a visual effects animator."
"You mean, you move Kong around?"
"Well.... yeah."
Poor Jack was in no condition for an explanation on hair simulation.
I'm starting to get the impression that Jack Black is usually drunk. I don't know, some people seem to perform better that way. Let's just hope the guy's liver holds up.
