did this a few weeks ago. i've been wanting to sink my teeth into some large canvas lately, and so i did this with acrylic and im very happy with it!unfortunatly i couldnt use my scanner, so i took the pic with a digital camera, so there's alot lost in it and it's a little blurry, but i hope ya enjoy it none the less.

i was inspired by "The End" by a band called Razor. my depiction of the last angel left on earth before hell takes over.

i have tons more i'd really like to do, i need to get the rest of my comission work taken care of first and i'm trying to get the next issue of the dead out by halloweiner. not to mention keeping up with Putrid Meat (or trying to. but i really enjoy this! i'll do more when i have time.

Looks pretty sweet. I don't know how much I'm missing, but I actually kind of like the blurry, grainy effect the photo gave it. It adds something to the atmosphere of the piece. Incidentally, I actually have a pretty fresh memory of what the song is because one of the other illustrators in my studio was just listening to that song this afternoon.

Working large on canvas is definitely awesome when you don't get to do a lot of it too. It feels so much more open and free. I'm always dying to get a chance to work big more often but I rarely do. It's a serious pity that most illustration stuff is smaller than 9x12.

Whoa man, this blows my mind. I wish I could see it with the blurriness/grainy camera.

I really like how you did the folds and the wings.
Read this comic. It is the greatest journal comic ever written and drawn. Trust me.

thank you! i actually used metallica paint to do it, so that might be another big read on why there's so much blur.
