I like the table higher also, I also like it when I can be totally relaxed and comfortable. I prefer to draw at night when everything is quite and the only thing that's there is my imagination, the pencil against the paper and the music that is playing in the background....*__* It's very nice~

I draw lyieng in my bed or sitting at a desk. I also need it to be perfectly quiet (music is fine if I am in the mood and gets to choose it). This works best at night, with headphones.

I have a drafting table but it was monopolizing the economy of space we have here. It currently resides in the basement waiting for me to justify it with professional work. Now, I sit cross legged on the floor with my Bristol board on the coffee table.
Music. Yes. I make play lists. "Space Rock" playlist for a Sci-Fi slanted script I'm writing. "One Scary Punk" or"Just Some Punk" for coloring The Surrealist. Everything has a playlist and every playlist has its place.

About the height of a school desk, background noise a boring teacher talking about things I don't need to know, materials a pen/sharpie and my binder.

The drawing surface has got to be at the height of my sternum, if I have a surface, otherwise I'll make do. I have a drafting table, but I just use it for "filing". I usually draw at the computer desk, or in the floor with an ottoman(sp?). Footstool.
But I'm always sitting cross legged, or on one leg and anything I might need HAS to be within arm's length, or toes'...basically I need to be able to reach what I need without getting up.
I find that it takes me longer to finish things the more often I get up and leave the work space.

I actually drew a picture of this before, but since im too lazy to open it, i guess will explain it.
Really I draw anyway (except on my stomach, ugh the back pains)
Most likely i draw at a desk at school, one leg tucked under another, (somewhat sitting on my leg) And i often find myself with one left shoulder raised, creating a odd slant in my neck and shoulders. It also explains why my pictures come out crooked sometimes...
other times, crossed legged on the floor =)
