Anyone here getting Mortal Kombat Armageddon this monday/tuesday (depends when your local store picks it up)? It's pretty much Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the PS2, Xbox, and Wii. It packs every Mortal Kombat character from the first MK until Deception, from the hige bosses to useless hidden characters like Mokap and Meat. Though fans complained it didn't have Khameleon, there's a pretty cool Kreate-A-Kombatant mode where you can make her as well as anyone you want (during an IGN interview, they used The Hulk as an example).

They beefed up the Konquest mode so now it plays more like Shaolin Monks with a beat 'em up style as well as fights between characters from the roster. You also have a mini game called Motor Kombat which plays a LOT like Mario Kart with power ups and everything, and can pass as a stand alone game. The fighting system is a bit improved now, with aerial kombat, parries, and even a Kreate-A-Fatality option where you don't just enter the buttons and sit back, rather, you are given time to perform multiple moves that can be chained for a really gruesome fatality (the number of unique moves for KAF will be around 100, according to Midway).

At the start off the game, you can choose from 58 different characters, but you have the option of unlocking 4 more to complete the roster to 62. Those that are getting the Premium Editions will get a bonus DVD featuring the history of fatalities, character bios, and an arcade perfect version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Those that reserved a copy also gets an art cell with the entire roster of the characters, signed by Ed Boon (maker of the game).

I'm looking forward to getting it on tuesday, just wondering how you guys feel about it.

It's coming out for the Wii as well?! Alright now that's going to be interesting. Although I'm still deciding if I will buy it though but it's cool.

Also, I'm trying to find out just how to acess the third costumes for some people. Man, Midway really did a number on this little mystery. Hopefully all will be revealed with the release of the XBox version.

So the Konquest mode sucks I guess? It can't be any worse than the disaster that was MK:Deception's Konquest mode.

It's awesome how THIS is what got people so angry when they didn't even know anything about the game. ;)

The title scared them shitless. For their next game rockstar should use a title like "Ass raping zombies will kill your pets and then use them to screw your children, after which they will burn American flags while eating their own excriment" and make the actual game a simple Zombie shooter...

The publicity will make them bigger than GOOGLE!
