Runescape is the only real MMORPG that is available for free without downloading anything that I can think of.

Have you considered League of Legends (LOL)?

If you have played Dota, it is very similar.

It isn't an MMORPG, but it is a MMO of sorts.

Look into it, it's free (pay for extra's if you like), it's a small download to get started, and it's highly addicting if you like this sort of MMO

Actually, League of Legends isn't an MMO. It may be a fun game, but it's not classified as an MMO of any type, even by its creators (they classify it as team-based multiplayer).
