I realize there is another thread on this but I'm looking for specifics. I need a game that has guns. Or sharp objects. Explosions would be a nice touch aswell. I'd like at least a free roaming environment...

I'm not packed with money. Heck, I only have a couple bucks to my name. So, being FREE would be a very, very good thing.

Free AND has all the thing you ask for...... No I've got nothing. Most nifty looking MMOs that are free that I've personally played with are missing one or two of the things you're asking for.

I've been fiddling with two free MMO games at the moment myself. One is called Tribal Wars And is all about being a Roman gladiator. If you do decide to join that game, do me a favor and join through this link . It would benefit me since the game awards people for recruiting other into it.

There are no fancy action scenes in either one though but fun gameplay.

Not free but you can play for free unless you want to play for the full MMO side of the game: Hellgate London.

That's got guns and sharp objects, reminds me of Diablo II in a way (since the developers are the original Diablo/Diablo II guys).

Well you could try Gunz . It's not really an MMO, but it has guns, swords, and a ton of fancy moves, or so I hear. The game says BETA but hasn't been updated in two years; I'm not sure if it even works anymore. But it is free. If you try it let me know how it is.

Other than that, you could try Planetside . It's an MMO set in a futuristic war-like society. It's not free though. Now Anarchy Online is a sci-fi MMO that has an ad-sponsored free mode. It has sci-fi guns and whatnot. It may be to your tastes.

Other than that, you could search for some web-browser based MMOs. I play one of those, called Fallen Sword .

Guild Wars is free to play, you only need to buy the original game. But, if you're looking for TOTALLY free, try Ragnarok Online. There are a ton of free servers, you just need to download the game(Which is also free, if the server provides the download). I don't have any personal recommendations, since I haven't played in a long time.

Maple Story is free, fits your "sharp objects" criteria and is pretty good if you can deal with the fact that its 2-d and kinda cartoony. It also has a fish sword which automatically makes it awesome.
