Since I haven't posted a comic in a long time, I might as well show you some new stuff.
Crit to your hearts content. :p

That frightens my soul. I think the right arm looks a bit longer than the left. The drawing's left. It might be how you bent it.
Read this comic. It is the greatest journal comic ever written and drawn. Trust me.

Great work Mish! What, no nurses? o_O

The torso on your chibi is a little long. Cutting out the length in her midriff will improve her.

I like the realistic style on the Sailor Moon gal. Increasing the contrast in your painting style will further heighten the realism. -darker shadows

The two more realisticly rendered figures look is though they're based on the old airbrush style which often had that low contrast look in specific colour areas - the flesh tones wouldn't have deep shadows - so I can live with that (damn, I remember the eighties D:if that's the intended look.

The greater realism has it's own problems though. Poses that would work well in a more cartoony style can look terrible : the guy's pose works very well and even without the shadows around him you'd have the sense of his seated weight. The girls almost there, but as alwinbot mentioned the left arm seems to recede slightly: her angle suggests that the left shoulder is closer to us than the right, but the arm definitely looks further back. Having stared at it for ages, I think the issue is with the left elbow - if that elbow looked more like it was pointing at us rather than up and back, the arm would look foreshortened rather than short. Of course, then you'd probably have to change the forearm too......

It looks so stylish otherwise, it's definitely worth making a copy and tweaking - you know you want to. Okay, so you don't want to, but do it anyway.

What's it all about when you sort it out, Ozone?
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?

Thanks for the crits and advice, I think I need Ironscarf to follow me around from now on. ^^ I've done a few more pieces, nothing really fancy.

This is fanart from an 80's girly anime. I keep thinking of this character as the Japanese Jem.

Another chibi. I don't know why I do chibis when I clearly don't have a knack for their odd propotions. Anyways, I wanted this to sorta resemble sanrio stuff or cute little characters you find on random Japanese objects. This was basically me just playing around in paint tool sai for the first time in ages.

I like drawing characters rare characters from anime that most people don't bother drawing. This is one from the Sailor Moon manga. I clearly made up my own proportions here. Not sure what I was thinking at all. lol. There are a lot of glaring mistakes here. But this was worth drawing anyway. I'm starting to get comfy with paint tool sai.

Here's a question for the critic crew. Do you think I should stop drawing chibis?
