this guy's a good director, very innovative and is willing to take risks...unlike some directors that take 5 years to complete one film this director has comleted 60+ films. in wide range of genres from horror, violent, comedy to kids movies...
I recently bought "dead or alive" (not the game) box set...that first 3 minutes of that films kicks so much ass. he's films do get pretty extreme, but if you can winced yourself through those you can see a pretty good story and visuals. it pretty much got me to be interested in asian cinema again.

It's funny that the first time Showtime actually got someone to make an episode that lived up that show's title they were too squeamish to air it.

i'm having a bit of trouble finding a store that sells his movie. i suspect it's because of the content. i think best buy even took ichi off it's shelves

Amazon and eBay make it easy to get anything. I've known a few indie video stores that stock his titles too.

I have yet to see his movies, but he already has my respect for that great amount of movies he made. And than also being such a cutting edge director..
His only movie I've seen was Zebraman ^^' Probably not his best work, but still I found it quite funny.

He made a children's movie recently called Yokai Dai Sensou (The Great Yokai War).
