I hope not. Third Party games on the Wii tend to be waggly waggle waggle fest (Soul Calibur Legends), A FUCKING RAIL SHOOTER (Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles), or just a bunch of shit minigames (lol pretty much everthing on the system).

Sure, there ARE exceptions. But I'm not getting my hopes up for any Wii games besides Brawl until the game actually comes out and gets some good reviews.

Exactly. I totally agree, even before the Wii things used to get watered-down for the Cube.

And we all know Brawl will be good.

Yeah, there aren't that many decent Wii games for older audiances, alot that are still for little kids, i hope they come out with a game like Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, that's a great game.

sonic, yea it does, but i never played sonic and the secret rings, i was thinking about getting it but i guess that from what u said then the new sonic games werent good either.

Secret Rings is actually good, in my opinion. It's like the sonic series kept up the same losing strategy, but won the lottery.

The value of the Wii Sonic game is debateable. Most people I know felt the game had great potential which it completely threw out the window with the incredibly shitty controls.

That's odd, what I loved about it was the controls. Different strokes, I guess

I think that the basic control scheme was sound, but there were flaws with certain game elements added that were very counter-intuitive to them. Simple example: walking backwards. The game designers seemed to give you that option as an afterthought, and the times when it becomes necessary to use it (either through a level that specifically requires walking backwards, or if you just barely missed some collectible needed to finish a stage) the whole thing just turns to shit. Secret Rings was great for having some of the best moments where you can just haul ass through a Sonic level and not have to wrestle with the camera every step of the way, since it was largely linear designed.

All in all, like most Sonic games these days, it was ruined by one simple thing: adding features we don't want. Specifically in the 3D age this comes down to repeating individual levels ad-infinitum, and simply giving you different goals each time. In past games that was accomplished by a growing horde of forgettable characters each with a different function to perform, but in this game it's simply making Sonic arbitrarily forced to outrun timers or gather dinosaur eggs or some other such bullshit. The games as a whole would be so vastly improved if all the fluff was stripped away and you just had a large number of varied levels to just speed through. Unfortunately it's a huge to-do to program complex 3D levels, and the game would be pretty damn short if they didn't find some way to stretch each one they made to its limit.

Yergh, I feel guilty now. I shouldn't encourage threads to get this far off-topic...

So, has anyone played Megaman Starforce one? I have Pegasus. The game was good, but you know they could have at least tried to make it challenging and with better music, the music was quiet and dull.

I just traded in Leo. I mean, the gameplay was fantastic with the battles, don't get me wrong, but the STORYLINE. AAAARGH.

Seriously, they dragged out cutscenes that were like an episode of Arthur that just happened to have the wave road and FM-ians. This is also true of battle network. You'd think they could stand to make it just a little darker to appeal to a wider audience...

Yea, the storyline made me mad too, I hated it. Geo didn't act like a hero, like megaman should, and for that, he always would get hurt, and be afraid to fight. And if you think about it, there are no evil people in the game, just lonely people who get taken over by FM-ians. The only evil person was Rey, Pat's split personality. But game play was good, just not challenging, they should have a difficulty setting.

This sounds like the most emo game in the Megaman series, only they kept it rated G and took out the razor blades and black eyeliner. One thing I never heard any feedback or knowledge on is the WiFi feature. Has anyone ever duked it out or anything in this game?

I have duked it out with a kid, only it wasn't a duke out, I anialated him in one hit with one battlecard. It was funny. He claimed to be the best and know everything about Megaman and he only knew 1/100 of what I know about Megaman, I mean he didn't even know who made Zero. Dr. Wily did. I then for fun fought him with my weakest buster and h estill hid behind a rockcube throughing bombs. He said I couldn't use weapons, and i was bored of waiting so I took him out with a Sword Card, i forget what it was, it slashes diagnally and it does 200 damage. The kid screamed and got mad at me. I told him I wouldn;'t have done that if he wasn't being a wuss, i mean i had a buster with a setting of all 1.

How off-topic is this thread? Nobody on earth has a clue when MMSF2 is going to be released. Not us on TREZ, not TMMN, nobody. EVen more annoying, RnR2 was released before us Europeans got MMSF1!

I also browse on my PSP and PS3. So if I'm online, I may be on them.
