the megaman starforce series is an interesting series, but its not that great. im a huge fan of megaman and i think that they should stop making new series as it is. but i cant help but say i cant wait for the second starforce game, it looks good! i hope its better than the first one and is a bit more challenging and has better music. i dont know, this one looks good bye looking at the trailer, but i wish i could understand what they were saying. i think i will get thunder beserker.

no it doesnt need to die, they are great games, but they should just end the starforce series and let the megaman series end. nut everything else you say that needs to die is true they all do. starforce 2 looks so much better than the first one.

Megaman doesn't need to die. It's simply an update of the old Jpnese transforming kid hero/ monster robot formula. But at least it gets updated. If anybody needs to die, it should be Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Etcetcman first.

I don't know about ALL media pertaining to those characters, but their game series need to die. Spider Man, Batman, Superman etc. games almost ALWAYS suck. It's like God decreed that no licensed game can ever be fun.

Megaman though? They might be rehash, but at least they're GOOD rehash. I've never played a Megaman game that didn't have at least reasonably good gameplay.

Know a game series that needs to die? Sonic. He hasn't had a good game since the Genesis, has he?

I've never played Secret Rings, but if I remember correctly it got bad reviews.

Or maybe it wasn't out yet. I don't know.

Actually most of his handheld games have been alright but every console game since then has ranged from mediocre to pure crap.

Ive just really hated the newer megaman games (since battle network). I cant really get with the whole card/chip based gameplay. Its just not megaman to me.

At the very least I'm glad that all these spinoffs and whatever are done with a new Megaman with each iteration, instead of bastardizing the original Blue Bomber.

Megaman died when they started making this whole Net Navi crap. It WAS actually interested for a little while but it just got really old and repetitive. But as with all other cool things we used to have, companies think they need to appeal to much younger audiences. That's why Sonic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Power Rangers (and many others) are really ridiculous now.

Sonic The Hedgehog (the next gen game for Ps3 and 360) was absolutely AWFUL. I'm not going to explain it, go play the game, watch some gameplay or read a review and you'll see.

The last Megaman game I ever played was Megaman Network Transmission, which was a side-scrolling adventure version of the hand held Battle Network series.

yea i know that more games coming out for the younger audiances. i mean look at megaman starforce for example,m too easy, they should have a difficulty setting, id pick the hardest mode because ive been playing megaman games since as long as i can remember, and im mad that they had to go and screw around with the games. and geo stelar, he's a little wuss, i mean he doesnt deserve to be megaman, i mean he's afraid of fighting and getting hurt. then whats the point of being megaman if you are afraid to fight?

What megaman needs is greater customization. What made the originals so good was the insanely hard levels and the cool power upgrades. Today's gamer doesn't want insanely hard levels, they want challenging but beatable levels. Make weapons customization a prime focus of a megaman game where you can really outfit rock from scratch, design what each part of him does and suddenly you'll have people all up on's

Megaman Legends was a good game, I wish they'd make more of those

you are amazingly right, i think that the legends series was amazing and alot of fun, i likes how i could customize and reck reeverbot days. it was like one of the best series, and they were gonna make a third one, but nno, they scraped that plan.

I've got a copy of Legends somewhere, but it barely works. I got it for free from someone, but it was scratched. So it doesn't want to load half of the time.

that sucks, i have megaman legends 1 and 2, and they're so much fun. i liked how you could have more thatn one file and could play the game over again without restarting the perfect file. and when you beat the game you could start another game with the choice of difficulty. it was fun to do on easy sometimes and just go right through the whole game. but i am also able to beat it on hard. it just takes a while and a couple of gameovers, not alot tho if you know everything and where everything is too.

yea i agree because pokemon keeps on going and going, while the games are alright, their pokemon are begining to look like yu-gi-oh monsters, monster ranchers, and digimon, and its just dumb. hope they leave pokemon where it is now and make a remake or pokemon gold silver and crystal like they did with red yellow and blue. fire red and leaf green were good, and the silver gold and crystal games were even better than fire red and leaf green.

Sadly, that's what the Sevii Islands in Fire Red and Leaf Green were for.

Still, you must admit, image-wise some of the newer pokemon are ugly. But some of those very pokemon have movesets and stats that are extremely useful in battle. Take Probepass for instance. I hardly lose a battle with that thing.

I used to be able to name all of the 150 pokemon and had already colected some thing like 130 or some thing both in cards and in the original red, blue and yellow games(yes i had all three). That is how devoted i was to the series. but then it started getting kind of old y'know?Collect assloads of pokemon, beat the gym leaders, collect all of the badges, collect more assloads of pokemon brag to your friends about the assloads of pokemon that youve collected, and then move on to the next game etc. etc. etc.

After a while i realized that these new games brought nothing new to the table except for the occasional small tweak(now you can fight with two, count em' two pokemon!) or another hundred or so pokemon that either have simular abilities to those of previous games or is the result of a drug trip and about 16 hours straight of watching yugioh reruns.
Also its turn-based which is very boring after a while.

So thats why i think pokemon should die.

Or if they mad a Megaman game in the fashion of Ratchet & Clank. In the terms off weapons, armor and customization.

True, that would be good if they made a Megaman game in the terms of Ratchet and Clank. I fope that Capcom comes out with a new Megaman game for The Wii, that'd be awsome!

I hope not. Third Party games on the Wii tend to be waggly waggle waggle fest (Soul Calibur Legends), A FUCKING RAIL SHOOTER (Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles), or just a bunch of shit minigames (lol pretty much everthing on the system).

Sure, there ARE exceptions. But I'm not getting my hopes up for any Wii games besides Brawl until the game actually comes out and gets some good reviews.

Shinobi...Dinosaur?

...anyway, the only thing I liked about Star Force was that Geo was a misanthropic, angsty bastard. Like me. :3
Other than that, there weren't enough battlechips, the equipment system was totally superfluous and the artwork was junk. I'm of the opinion that Star Force was a weak excuse to carry on the Battle Network system, because Capcom love to milk their cash cows.

As for the Wii, it's as Shplane said; there's a wee chance, but past experience tells us that it's probably going to be some sort of Megaman Waggle Network if it happens at all. :/

I'd personally like some more out of the Megaman Zero series...just not a ZX3.

I've never actually gotten through the Star Force game completely, but from what I played it wasn't terrible. I liked the new way of battling on only 3 panels and the angle it was at. The plot wasn't bad, and it was more of an angsty side to a game with the name "Megaman" in it, but not as depressing as say, the X and Zero series. I can tell these game developers are appealing to children though because they keep making their characters in these new games ELEMENTARY SCHOOL children. I wish they would have based it on a bit of an older age group and made it a bit more action packed. Oh well, I don't expect too much for these games anymore, I'll stick with replaying my ol' Classics on my Anniversary Collection.

Yeah, the game was alright, but not the best. I didn't like it really because it was for younger audiances, I mean like at least with battlenetwork, they were cooler school kids. But I didn't like the whole three panels thing, I mean the way you move on them, it's like saying here you only can have one pannel to use. I liked the nine pannels better. But nothing, and I mean nothing out of the whole Megaman saga can beat the Original and X series. Nothing.
