Ever since the second Scary Movie the _ Movie series has really gone down the toilet quick. Seeing the preview for Meet the Spartans does make me want to see it, but I'm worried it's going to be as epic fail as Epic Movie was.

Who's going to see it?

It looks like someone took an overused concept and took a dump all over it.
When I see the add it makes me stop laughing.

The only time when I would see it is if I was really bored and I got it out of the Library (aka no money needed).

I'll probably see it. Although I don't like this mish-mash parodies usually, I really enjoyed 300 and I like seeing online spoofs of it thus far. I just hope they keep the jokes mainly about the 300 and not also 50% of every movie that's been out since then. The Spiderman cameo in the commercial, for example, doesn't seem funny to me.

The scary movie guys should do "Parody movie." It'd be like a parody^2. I think it would work, but that's probably just me.

Edit: For further clarification, here's my hypothesis:

-Main character: Sanjaya Spiderman-Hilton, Esq.

-Stereotype characters: Every race imaginable, including Klingons and marmosets, and they're all potheads.

-ALL ANIMALS IMAGINABLE WILL KNOW KUNG-FU AND BEAT UP THE HEROES WHEN THEY LEAST EXPECT IT. Even unicellular ones. The only ironic animals will be the ones that do nothing.

-A sequence where Donald trump tells King Leonidas he's fired and King Leonidas kicks him into a well and the girl from the Ring will be in there, but Jason and Freddy and an Alien and a Predator will kill the girl and Trump, along with Britney Spears, in the nearby sewers. Then the two guys from Men in Black will kill the alien and the predator. Darth Vader hears laser blasts from a manhole and is convinced it's the rebels. He kills a guy with a lightsaber convinced it's another jedi, only to reveal it's Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Vader ceases to exist. The Godfather puts a sliced half of Anakin Skywalker in Padme Amidala's bed and she screams, catching the attention of Jay and Silent Bob and Glenn Quagmire, and the three have a Pokemon battle to determine who gets to have raucous sex with Padme, and--you know.

-Villain: Whoever's writing the movie.

I might see it. Scary Movie 1 and 2 were OK, but 3 was crap. I never saw 4. Also, I'm apparently one of the only people on earth who thought Not Another Teen Movie was funny.

So, yeah. I might see it.

I'll most likely see it. But the minute they kick more than 10 people in the bottomless well, I'm walking out, and demanding a refund. We've all seen that joke far too often.

But back on topic: Is it worth shelling out 8 bucks from a financially broke youth? Because as far as I'm concerned it feels like another generic parody movie. But I seem to be rather easily amused... so I'll have to think about it.

I'm thinking about seeing it. It looks interesting enough for me to see it and I smile when I see the commercials...

Hell yeah, Mel Brooks FTW. Looks like mixed opinions on the movie. I'm kind of 50/50 on seeing it, too. Something is compelling me to go, however.

Mel Brooks is basically the trump card for this genre. His movies are genius. I miss his work.

Oh man, this movie looks like it's going to be great. (Don't tell anyone, but I'm gonna be getting it from a torrent site the second it leaks)

I just want to see this for the Transformers parody.

I admit, I laughed a bit at the trailer.

I'm waiting for a Transformers, Cloverfield, I Am Legend crossover parody. Alien car robots vs. zombies vs. mutant monsters.

If you are able to laugh at any part of that, you have no sense of humor. It's like a humor test, you go to see it, if you don't laugh you're obviously normal, if you do anything will please you. I say we get it certified and distributed on a large scale so we may take everyone who does actually believe it's a good movie, put them on a boat, and just kick them off the country. We don't need them.

The thing that sickens me more is that there is a market for this movie.
People will pay to see this movie.
This will only encourage them to make more movies like this.

Well they won't get the most people to the theaters for this, for the low budget accounts for however few they do get. :/
