Yup, if you haven't heard of it, as far as I can tell, it isn't a joke...

I can't tell if this is a good or bad thing. It's gonna be totally inaccurate because Sonic will obviously win every running race unless they make him just as fast as Mario, in which case what's the point.

In my opinion Mario games are better than sonic ones (JUST AN OPINION!) but sonic has his homing attack, he can spin at people, he's super fast, and gives life advice where as Mario...erm...Mario likes to dress up...and erm...he can do the Mario? (listen to the words! doing the Mario is WALKING). What's my point? These two will be remembered as the 2008 Olympic mascots for the youth of the world...sonic I understand...but a fat plumber who sings about walking?

The game is being made for the 2008 Olympics...I've played one or two Olympic games in my time, they have all been horrid

Dose the Wii need yet another collection of mini-games stuck together for drunken parties? Almost every game released has a mini-game collection in it now.

Will this only get sonic fans hopes up about the little guy being in SSBD? We should start to accept now, with only about 6 months left till the game is out in the shops...chances of sonic being in SSB is veeery slim now.

Anyway, these are just a few badly written out points (I've got the 'do the Mario' on loop now so I can't here myself think), but I want to here other peoples points of view on the game, so I'll shush up.

As for the game, I personally think that it's a waste of time. Sure, it's a chance to relive the video game wars of the 90's......wait, bad example.

If you ask me, they should forget this and worry about Smash Bros. I'm more concerned about WHEN THE HELL THAT'S COMING OUT!!!

My advice to Sega: Stop with the fucking Sonic games.

I wish for a time when Sega released things other than Sonic, like you know, Shenmue.

that or reinvent sonic. The Mario series is getting old, I think Nintendo have seen this, hence Paper Mario, and the Mario and Luigi RPGs. sonic still dose the same thing...fails at 3D :-( lets hope Nintendo will handle the creation of this game so the controls are usable.

Sonic Team will be making the game, but Shigeru Miyamoto will be overseeing it so that it can't be TOO messed up.

I guess it'll be interesting to see how the game turns out then. Both companies have had there qualities, lets hope we see both show though in this game.

Incorrect. The team that made SEGA SOCCER SLAM is creating this game; Sonic Team is busy making Sonic Rush Adventure and NiGHTS.

I hope this'll get Sonic into Super Smash Bros Brawl. That'd be sweet.

I was hoping for a "real" crossover where both Mario and Sonic face off against enemies from both worlds. Kind of like how Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon did it for the Game Boy Advance (though, those two pairing up isn't as monumental as an italian plumber and blue hedgehog in the same game) The game would use elements from both series and you would play through environments based off of locations and themes from all of their games. But...an olympic sports game?

I'll admit, although the game really to me shows no real potential but seems like nothing more than a cheap way to promote the Olympics...I'll probably buy it too.

The idea of crossing both platform games dose sound like a much cooler idea though. I'd love to see Bowser and Robotnick (Dr.Eggman) working together.
