I remember when I went to a movie theater to watch a movie. (Duh.)

Then I saw the poster-board for that movie. Here are my exact words:

i couldn't even pronounce words when i saw the poster. I literally just dropped and stared at it going

I love Alvin and the Chipmunks... but only when they end up under the rubber of my Corolla's tires and the asphalt. :)

To be honest with you, I thought these new 3D renditions of them are pretty well-done visually. It's the proper midway point between a real chipmunk and the cartoon Chipmunks, and it visually fits with real world lighting and motion. The Scooby Doo movie was unable to pull that off.

That being said, the movie looks like it will be AWFUL. The fact that they had to use a poop joke for the trailer doesn't exactly help. It makes me sad because I really like Jason Lee as an actor and I hate to see him go through with this.

He makes a pretty good Dave though - Steve Carell maybe too, but prolly too expensive. But yeah, looks to be a kids movie through and through. Just like Underdog - a waste of pixels unless you are 6. What was so wrong with the original Underdog cartoon?
