Is there ANYONE on this site that plays MTG?

I swear it's so frickin' hard to find other people that play these days. I've got a case full of decks and never have anyone to use them to wipe the floor with ;_;

Anyway... I figured this topic could be used for the sake of MTG discussion, and deck-posting... that is if any of you play, anyway >_>

There's me... but there's a catch. I have no MTG decks of my own (quite honestly, I have better things to spend my money on) but I do have a Mac, meaning I can use the WebWizard online client. What's your online username?

I played Magic for a long time, but never did get very good at it. Mostly I think that has to do with the fact that I didn't really spend any money on cards. Any decent card I owned was just from my friend giving me the ones he had too many copies of. I did eventually get a pretty decent red/black deck, but people didn't like playing against me with it because it had a lot of "broken" cards (cards that were too powerful for their cost, so they weren't allowed in tournament play).

I don't play MTG with real cards, I play it with the WebWizard online MTG client. My username's 'Bartimaeus".

I play, I actually play a lot.

My favorite decks are my Red/Green aggro, my White/Black rebel/Orzhov, and my Red/Black kill everything my opponent plays.

Also, I'll have to check out that thing that Soitbegins was talking about. It looks interesting.

In WebWizard, it's pointless because you have all the cards available to you for deckbuilding, be they common, rare, or near-impossible to get.

I once played a Blue/Black deck that took people off-guard. People see blue/black and they think "Okay, ultimate denial, got it."

Nope. It was a direct damage deck. Blue actually has some of the cheapest direct damage out there and black's direct damage often has the side-effect of healing you.

I also once ran an Ancestor's Prophet deck. It wasn't at all uncommon for me to end a game with over 200 life.

I've been using this lately.

So far it's the best Type 2 deck among any of my buddies.

Magic for life dude! I'm having a short brake from Magic for now, but I keep on creating a red/black deck.

I've been playing Magic: The Gathering online a lot, lately. I'm looking into webwizard out as well. I'm on a mac, but it bootcamps to XP.

my username on it is joerocks1981. (surprise.)

i've been looking for more people to duel as well, namely for nobody really playing in my local area.

I've been playing for a long time have about 15 decks with about 10 more in the works (my favorites are my blue/black psychic possession deck and my blue/green infinite everything deck)..i am a very johnny player. I don't play online though. I actually have been making my own set for a while too... I bet a few of the cards need to be balanced better though (I'll post some if you wish to see.)

So far, I've noticed the best free way of doing online play, is using Anycraze as a deck builder, and WebWizard as a game client.

So if ya' wanna play online or put together and play using your dream deck, that's the way to do it. Although I've yet to ever see a game client that would support fanmade cards, so I doubt you'd be able to use the cards you're making :O

Okay I'll post a few:

I also made a few mechanics to go with my set one whichs tries to speed up the flow of the game (used in green, red and black mostly) and the other which tries to slow down the flow (used in white and blue mostly).

the first mechanic I call Focus, it illustrates taking your time to charge an attack and storing up energy for future use.

Cards to illustrate:Determined Guardian [img237.imageshack.us] and Studious Nullmage [img231.imageshack.us]

the second is called Forge, ituses a concept of taking the residual energies of spells already cast and use them to cast your own. (its my version of a more ballanced storm)

Cards to illustrate:Spell Eater [img180.imageshack.us] and Nightmares of Nature [img66.imageshack.us]

here are a couple more from a couple of cycles I made (the first one I'll admit is pretty much an anti-blue cycle which is funny cause blue is my favorite color to use)

Undeniable Decay [img112.imageshack.us]

Mindflow [img201.imageshack.us]

Hope you liked them.

Hmmm... pretty good. For some reason I want to think that the Guardian and the Nullmage were overpowered. Not sure why.

Undeniable Decay looks like it might be a bit overpriced, but good overall.

Mindflow seems pretty interesting, but might cause problems if you try to wait for the right color of mana.

Spell Eater looks like it should be an 8/8. Just something about it makes me think "Wow, that card should be an 8/8." Not sure what.

Nightmares of Nature looks like it would be useless unless you could get some kind of infinite mana loop. Damn combo cards.

Wait... what do I know about combo cards? No one I know ever even uses combos. Generally we're a beatdown kind of group. That's why I love my Red/Green deck. I can beat them down so fast that they don't even know what happened.

Also, we tend to play a lot of black, and my Red/Green deck just happens to have two Sprectral Forces. Not sure how they got in there.

Interesting cards indeed. So when you grow up you want to work at wizards ^^. Nah seriously now i played once a green/white deck so some people call me Greenpeace when they see me. My favorite creature type is Sliver FOR THE HIVE!!! um ye sorry, but my favorite creatures are Razorjaw Oni ( black deck destructor ) and Wind Drake ( he looks cool ^^ ). My tactic is too bound enemy creatures and make him discard his cards. This doesn`t work with Dreds damned madness/suspend deck. HE DEFEATED MY WITH ONLY ONE MOUNTAIN ONE GOD DAMN MOUNTAIN CAN YOU BELIEVE IT ?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

i use the orhoz deck to win and for fun i have this blue deck that can't win a good fight, but it is fun just cause it is full of counters
A hot kiss is like a loose spiderweb, someones fly is gonna to get undone
A democrat is someone who would be a republican if he had the money
A blond can be bad at history and great on dates
A golfer yells"FORE", takes five, and writes down three
A brassiere is a device to bring out a girls best points
A husband is a man who gave up priveleges he never knew he had
Bad Sex is an oxymoron

if any of these made you laugh, grin, smile, or any happy expression read my comic

Well people Dred has this crazy idea to make a Magic the Gathering sprite comic with the title " Life in Ravnica " we`re still working on the script but we would like to have some 16-bit Megaman 7 style cameos. Why you ask? Well because we`re too lazy to your sprites because we don`t know if you would like. Ok we have 10 guilds Grul and Orzhov are taken which guild you want to be in ?

No Orzhov? Rakdos then. Rakdos is awesome.

And use a Black Mage sprite for me, I'm sure you can find a 16 bit one.
