I believe that I'm one of the few people that still like LOST.
Is there anyone esle out there, or am I the only one?
Okay, so some *Cough*Most*cough* stuff doesn't make sense, like what the &*(% the monster is. (It's a black cloud... okay....?)
So yeah, other than that, I'm really excited about LOST coming back on at the end of the month.
And the fact that their are LOST banners on top of 95% of the pages on Drunkduck...
Yeah...
So anyways, any other LOST fans out there, and what are your theories for the season.

I am also a huge LOST fan. From what I understand, this will be the last season...and because of the writer's strike, it won't be complete. So I dunno what's going to happen. I love Josh Holloway; Sawyer is my favorite character.
It's been awhile since I've seen the Season 3 finale (I watch the show on iTunes)--so I need to watch it again, to catch up on the story.
According to the season 4 Preview, someone in the group is not who they say they are. I'm trying to figure out who that is....
And yeah, they never explained the black cloud monster, did they? And all the people who have died so far--are they really dead? I really don't know what to expect. Every time I think I have it figured out, they surprise me. That's why I like it so much. (I liked JJ Abram's Alias for that reason as well, so that's why I was so glad when I heard he was doing Lost)

You have heard wrong about when LOST ends.
I've read in many places that LOST will end in 2010, with 2 or 3 more seasons left.
But they are spreading the seasons out to about 16 episodes each, so they will be preety short. *SIGH*
My favorite Character is Ben.
He's so... crazy, and the like. He seems like the kind of guy that stands on the corner one day saying 'The worlds about to end!' but the next, he'll just be sitting down saying 'Free ice cream to the person who can tell me who wins this seasons American Idol!'
Yeah... Maybe not that crazy..

I was really enjoying LOST for quite a while, and then it hit that dull part and I started losing interest. But toward the end of season 3 it actually started picking up again and getting good. I think a lot of people missed that.
Recently I followed the find815.com ads we've been seeing on the Duck here (finally an ad banner works) and it led me to a fun website that got me back interested in LOST again. So I'm looking forward to it. But I kind of hope they stop jerking us around so much. I'd also like for them to stop the flashbacks altogether. I know the backstories now, all I want to see is what's happening on the island.

I was enjoying Lost until season three, at which point, after being as patient as I could, I gave up. Too many silly coincidences, tiresome flashbacks, and annoying ambiguity ruined what had once been a cool show. I hear it did pick up by the end of season three, but I was gone by then and I'm not really sorry. Pity the writer's strike means the new season will be cut down drastically.
A Roll of the Dice now with full-size pages!

Aw, no way--the flashbacks are my favorite part!!! Because, if you look closely, you can see how all of the characters were connected to each other before they ever met (which is the main theme of the entire show). For example, in one of Claire's flashbacks, when she is in the hospital with her mom, we see a glimpse of Jack running through the hallway. oooOOOoo!

Oh, there are definitely cool things about the flashbacks... I just feel like they've pretty much told most of the people's stories already, and now they're just adding stuff I don't care about. Like Jack's tattoo and where it came from. I don't mind if they're showing me something important, like how Locke got crippled.

How about the flashback at the end of last season? I thought it was fantastic because it was a "flash-forward"! But I am a huge fan and really looking forward to this next season with only 6 episodes. :(
I wish the writers strike would be over and they can get back to doing that show and the others great shows which I will miss because of the strike. Because honestly I can only take so much "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?"...but that's for another thread.

I'm a big Lost fan, too. I enjoy the flashbacks, although there's a limit to how much I'll put up with. The puzzle-solving quality of the whole show intrigues me.
I actually put a little Lost reference in my comic HERE , but nobody noticed (or at least nobody mentioned it).

Lost Season 4 looks awesome. When the 'rescuer' says that rescuing survivors isn't their priority, my blood just runs cold. You know that Benry has finally told a half-truth about something.
And how about Season 3's ending? Jack laid the smackdown on Benry, AND not falling for the beach ruse. AND swearing revenge on Tom. Russo and Alex. Tricky Jacob, rising Locke. Hurley making the save in the mystery machine. Sawyer busting a cap in Tom for not believing his surrender. Charlie.
Whooooo, too cool.

Yes, the season finale for #3 was so great.
Possibly the best episode for the season.
I actually cheered when Hurley came down and surprise attacked that one Other. But yeah, I also cheered when Jack started beating the snot out of Ben. (It kinda reminded me of when he was being beaten up in Saw)
And then we realized that the flash backs were really flash forwards...
Okay, I just reposted everything the person above me said, so now I feel kinda like an idiot sorta.
Oh, and I shed a tear when Charlie died...

So, LOST comes back on January 31st if all goes well.
I just can't wait... Must go review theories... and the like!
Just kidding.
So, what do you think is going to happen in the first 10 minutes of the season premier? (Question to all)

Assuming that we don't get hit with a flashback/forward, I would think they'll have the Losties think that they're getting rescued. They may even tease that for the entire episode, but I think Locke is going to get his shit together and vamoose. Anywho, lots of hugging, glad handing and probably a reunion of Beach and Jungle posse. After the first 10 minutes, it's anyones guess. Maybe Smokey will appear? Jacob?

I personnaly don't think they get 'rescued' by the ship. I mean, if they get rescued in the first episode, it kind of kills everything, ya know? I think they get rescued even LATER than we think. I'm hearing all over the internet that the 'rescuers' are even worse than the Others. So maybe they get saved a different way?
But yeah, Locke is going to high tail it out of there. Become like Roussou or however you spell her name (2 years of french and I can't even spell a stupid name!!!!)
But the flash forward at the end of the season raises so many questions
Obviously, how did they get rescued, and who is still alive.
Who does Kate mean when she says 'He is waiting for me' (Possibly Sawyer)
Will Jack and Clair ever find out they are siblings?
WTF happened to Jack that made him want to go back to the Island?
Who was in the coffin? (My guess is Michael)
Is kate Pregnant?
And so many more!

You know, it's funny that Charlie even died. He actually had to defy physics to drown in the room where he did. In real life, thanks to pocketed air, the room would only fill up to the top of the broken window. He could have even left that one door open and Desmond would have been just fine.

Dude, there's freakin' polar bears on a tropical island and a freakin' smoke monster raping and killing people and some real imaginary friend named Jacob who hates people looking at him weird...plus many other physics defying instances on Lost.
Charlie drowning in an underwater room is the last thing that seems physics defying...IMHO of course.

And why didn't he try to swim out? The hole seemed big enough to swim out of, and he had more than enough time to get out after telling Desmond that 'It wasn't pennys boat'
In season 1 he says that 'I can't swim! I can't swim...."
And through the other seasons he can magically swim (Unless he was just being cowardly in the first season) Hmmmm???

I'm a big Lost fan, too. But it was a dumb idea to have an eight month hiatus or however long it was. I'll still watch it, though I missed some stuff, and hopefully we will get some answers and perhaps some unexpected twists and more paradoxical oncommings.

I think because it took so much for Charlie just to swim down there, he barely made it. Plus, with Desmond forseeing his death, I think he just accepted it instead of fighting it.

Dangit, it's a recap episode.
Oh well, I'm sure I could use the refresher anyway. Although I'm sure they're just going to remind me that the island is mysterious.

Unfortunately, I'm being subject to this show right now. The first half I think was a recap. It seem to be a regular episode as of 9 Eastern/8 Central.
I'm trying not to pay attention. Lost... most appropriately titled show ever, because I have no idea what's going on.

The season premiere was way cool. Just when the losties get back together, they split up again. And such circumstances too! The flash forward was a mind bender. It seems that leaving the island is not a good idea.
