Oh, when I first got Civ II for the PC I would stay up until about 2am everynight. That was back in High School, so I was pretty notorious for sleeping trough first period.
I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles ".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

Whoa, guess all this makes me a light weight, best I've done was 1.30 am playing Guitar Hero.
Though I have managed way more simply browsing aimlessly on the internet...

I was awake for times far too embarrassing to actually mention. But I've beaten all of you losers out completely. I turned into Jack's insomnia.
I think the most recent, was a play trough of final fantasy V. It was in Japanese, which made things far more difficult. Which I liked, because I enjoy the challenge. I didn't stop playing for 90+ hours.
Longest I ever was awake with a friend playing was two days. It was when Tekken 3 was out, we played it all night. Then around 6, another friend showed up. So we decided to play WWF attitude. Me, my friend, his brother, and another friend played all night. Good times. I miss Tekken 3, I'd use Gon or Doctor Bonskonovich to make my oponants feel foolish. But like most fighting games, I became proficient with everyone in the game, through hours upon hours of practice and competition.

I survived for around 3 days of no sleep at my mates house, back in the old days when we used to play MMORPG's or whatever they are called. He had 4 PC's and we all went on the same game and as far as I remember we barely left those seats, other than to go see what the other dude was doing.
I am never doing that again, I started seeing things on the third day. Me and my mates used to regularly do all nighters, then crash out the next day. But I have work and school now so that is impossible.

Please, please, you give me too little credit.

One time I stayed up an entire night trying to beat Metal Gear Solid 2 in one play-through. I ended up only getting to the beginning of arsenal gear, and that's when I couldn't take it anymore. The horrendously long codec conversations were what got me.

I stayed up for three days straight on pure caffeine to play Final Fantasy X. It was fun. ^_^ But then I slept for an entire day without moving. My body hurt a LOT after that.

Sadly I was only awake for 48 hours. Thank you Final Fantasy VII
Yeah, did something like that with FF7 aswell.
Looking back it might have been one of my best gaming moments. I rarely get caught up in games anymore and now I tend to play arcade type games for short sessions only.

the first time i rented Secret of Mana from our local game rental place (back when i was like, 12) i literally stayed up the entire time of the three day rental fixed on it. Summer vacation was great.
same thing with FFIII (VI).
i also know when the first KOTOR came out, i stayed up every night for a week playing it, till like, seven in the morning, only to go to work and be groggy all damn day. i guess that's totally different.

Oh, all nighters are common with me, like right now! Anyone who has ever had the soda, Bawls, knows that you can drink two of those things and be good, awake and aware, for a day and a night.
Hm... I have spent so many long hours on so many games, I can't even know where to begin.
Let's just say "A long time, and often."

I used to be a hardcore raider in Everquest. So one would think I'd pulled all-nighters regularly! Heh. Not quite.
I played a monk. But I avoided the hellacious Raster of Guk camp by playing it smart. I went after him once every day for 2 hours a day. Took 6 days. So 12 hours of camping. But not all at once.
The longest camp I ever undertook in that game was shard camping for my vex thal key. Luckily I had guild support for that, so nothing longer than 5 or so hours in a sitting.
So the winner for longest continuous night of gameplay was a Vex Thal raid itself! Full clear. Second guild run through the place. From 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Log in to Log off. I didn't even get a piece of loot that run.
This is why World of Warcraft simply couldn't faze me in terms of "timesink." Sure it took me almost 3 months of continual raiding to FINALLY get my dagger off of Ragnaros. But that's because our loot system sucked and the damn thing never dropped. The raids themselves never took more than 4 hours. We usually did a 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. raiding schedule, twice a week. Easy. And very user friendly. So very unlike Everquest.
Of course, I finally lost interest in all of it. Which is why I don't really buy into the whole "online gaming addiction" argument. Sure, it takes longer to get bored of some MMORPGs. But all of them have a saturation point. They all do finally get boring eventually. Console games, which have "endings" just get you there quicker.
