The only rumor I know of is the one that originated in Game Informer's rumor section and was later debumked by Sony. Supposedly there was at one point plans to make a sequel, but the project was put on hiatus. That was years ago, though. There is also an online petition with 14,000 signatures to try to convince Sony to make a sequel, although we all know how effective online petitions are.
