Gears of War is your favorite first person shooter because it's not first person?

It's as close to 1st person as I like to get. As soon as the camera pulls closer than that, I'm actually pulled away from immersion.

I've played and beaten Castle Wolfenstein 3D #1 and #2, and Doom. Played Doom 2, Heretic, Quake, Halo, Halo 2, and Unreal Tournament. As a genre, I can take or leave FPS.

What's wrong with the Aussie version? Were the zombies replaced with drop bears?

No gore, no riot police uncommon infected and the dead bodies disappear.

The german version got cencored in the same way but they got Counter Strike weapons. Australia was left in the dust.

Oh really? I have an American xbox (I live in Australia, was previously living in America) and I thought it sucked having to buy all the US games off ebay. I guess I was wrong.
