I, honestly, had enough with these kind of movies. When are we gonna have a serious, mature (and I'm not asking for an over-the-top things), CGI/3D movie?

I'm not saying I liked the movie, but is Beowulf the kind of thing you're looking for?

I saw this movie.
It was great!
I enjoyed all the humor. I enjoyed all the action. I enjoyed all the kung fu movie references both gross and subtle.
And yes I thought it would suck.

Yep I have to say I pretty much mirror this opinion.

I though it would suck (like natcho libera(SP) level suck) and it was actually enjoyable, particularly if you enjoy martial arts movies. The humor was well above that of a typical Jack Black movie and the casting was excellent for all the characters. Lots of good actors adding their voices to humorous effect.

I wouldn't go so far to say 5 out of 5 but it is good enough that I'd consider picking it up when it comes out if I can get it on sale.

I liked it. Good animation, decent writing, and it doesn't bombard you with American pop culture references. I liked the way the characters were portrayed and how the villain even seemed to have a decent back story to him, so he was still a jerk, but at least you could understand why he was a jerk. For the most part, the comedy and writing tried to stay more universal, there weren't a lot of references to crap that nobody will get twenty years from now, so it has a somewhat timeless quality that Dreamworks has desperately needed to work into their animated features for years.

I watched it too. This is a surprisingly good movie and what captivates me the most is the fact that this movie has a slightly more accurate Chinese style of storytelling. Well recommended to watch indeed.

It's easy for KFP to be made into a manga since its got martial arts and talking animals, two common elements in manga. Casablanca will probably be some damn all-male yaoi remake.

I got dragged into seeing this movie without knowing much about it... but in the end, I liked it. I mean, I wasn't expecting anything hardcore from a Disney/Pixar movie in the first place so it wasn't lacking anything to me. Plus, I have a soft spot for cutesy. :\

Oh, loved the accents. Russell Peters so should've been there. Lol.

Kung Fu Panda is a Dreamworks movie. Disney and Pixar had nothing to do with it.

It'd be nice if they started doing at least 2 CGI theatrical films a year that aren't intended for kids. All we had last year was Beowulf, and it looks like the only non-kiddy flick for this year is Clone Wars.
